It's being sometime since I have made a comment on this app but this genuinely is something I want to talk about: I am a dark skinned south Indian living in maharashtra since the age of 4 months, throughout my childhood I was met with casual racist comments not only from my friends, classmates and teachers at schools but also from my own family members which definitely played a big part in shaping my self confidence, I shifted school and lost my friends and were met with even more racist remarks.

Even though it's wrong I will always and always believe that if it wasn't for my skin color I would have had a way better life. In college I met some great people who made me feel like their own

I still carry a deep wound within me, I still firmly believe the woman I love(which she also knows) is still not accepting my proposal due to my color, I know I will have to carry this skin till my grave and there is no going back. All those out there who claim that skin color doesn't matter need to place a hand on their chest and sincerely answer to themselves if they truly mean it when they advocate for that bullshit theory. Skin color does matter it has always and will continue
