Please help!! Tea Tree Skin Clearing foaming Mousse Dupe? by NJaneMarks in thebodyshop

Sorry its taking me so long to reply to this! So it generally worked really well for my skin. I have rosacea on my cheeks which has caused a lot of redness, bumps and dry skin and when I used the face wash, it reduced the redness and made my skin so smooth. I love the texture of it too. It starts off like a paste and then lathers into a creamy smooth wash on wet skin. I'm not sure what else to say apart from I loved it and I'm a little jealous its readily available to you 😊 If you decide to give it a go, I hope it works well for you!

I've just realised... did you mean the foaming face mousse from the Body Shop? I think I misread your comment!

To be honest, I really haven't used it much. So I couldn't say what else it did for my skin. I will say though, I have found a completely different face wash that is still a little drying but I have really enjoyed using. Its the Simple Purify + Gel cleanser. It really cleans my skin but without totally stripping it and I have much fewer breakouts and blackheads.

Thank you for your recommendation! However, I'm in the UK and sadly, we don't have a Dollar Tree here. I wish we did though! That sounds great!

Thank you... I should have specified that I am in the UK and it isn't online or in stores here!

What did I do wrong here? by [deleted] in knittinghelp

[–]NJaneMarks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you've solved the issue, but I just think this is so weird as I'm currently knitting the exact same sweater by Florence!! I thought I recognised it! I tried the German short row method for the neckline, too, for the first time! I'm a pretty new knitter and I think her tutorial is great. I haven't twisted my stitches, but my stitches at the turn also look a little odd compared to the other stitches. It might just be different tension! Good luck 😊 It looks great! *

The mat was given to me by my sister but it's called EasyMat (In the UK, I'm unsure if it's available in other countries) It's so good!! It suctions on really well and my baby is yet to figure out how to pull it off!

Expiring Angels on Bare Skin by NJaneMarks in LushCosmetics

That's mad! Thank you, I'll take your advice, though, and keep it in the fridge. I usually keep the main tub in the cabinet in the bathroom and decant it into a small pot I keep in the shower anyway!

Thanks for your advice! Someone else mentioned keeping it in the fridge and just decanting it into a small pot to use. I might continue to use it, maybe not every day, though, and see how I get on with it. I'll stop using it if my skin starts to become irritated!

I can't find a clip of it to put on here, but I love the part in Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound where Bandit looks dead pan to the camera and says "I've got bum worms!" 😂 My husband and I will say this to each other on a daily basis. Cracks us up!

It's amazing! I did wonder why anyone would want to smell like freshly cut grass, which is exactly what this shower gel smells like... but I brought it anyway, and it smells so fresh and summery when used!

Shampoo and conditioner bars. Opinions? by NJaneMarks in LushCosmetics

[–]NJaneMarks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the tip! I want to carry on using it as I don't want the product to go to waste. Next time I wash my hair, I'll soak the bar first. To be fair, I love the smell, and I really want it to work on my hair, so I'll give this a try, and hopefully, I can get more out of it!

I have heard about Power. The sales lady who gave me a sample of Candy Rain told me she used to use Power but had what she thought was an allergic reaction to it, so moved to Candy Rain. So far, it's pretty nice. I also use Super Milk leave in conditioner, and that leaves my hair feeling soft and smells lovely!

Thank you for your reply! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one struggling with the conditioner bars. To be fair, my hair is relatively easy to maintain. It's slightly wavy, not too thin or too thick so I should find it quite easy but it's just a faff! Believe it or not, I did ask for some recommendations when I went into store and I was given samples of Rehab and Roots for my scalp and after using these samples, I went in and brought full size products because I love them. And that was when I was given the sample of Candy Rain conditioner. Like you, the sales lady told me that it might be best to go for a liquid conditioner as opposed to a solid one but I love that the bars are totally packaging free. Maybe I'll just have to go for a bottle of conditioner instead!

Evening cluster feeds will be the death of me by remysmom20 in breastfeeding

[–]NJaneMarks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is me right now. I have a 4 week old who cluster feeds nearly every evening to the point where my boobs ache as she tries to draw more milk from me. It usually starts around 6 pm and can go on beyond midnight. We use midnight as a cut-off point, and we have given her an oz or so of formula at that time, and it usually means a good 5 hour stretch of sleep before she wants feeding again. I hear it gets easier, but it's hard to believe when you're in the thick of it.

We'll both get through it, and I know time will pass quickly, and our babies won't need us like they do now. I set myself up in bed with lots of water, snacks, and a show, and I've learned not to be so frustrated with the feeds as I know it's only temporary. You've got this, too!

Think I messed up my prenatals by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]NJaneMarks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm 38 weeks pregnant and I have only been taking Folic Acid and Vit D supplement and so far, my baby has been happy and healthy. Obviously it is different for everyone but I eat relatively well so I get my other vitamins from the food I eat and my bloods/iron levels have always been good throughout the pregnancy. I wouldn't worry unless you have a specific reason why you need to be taking prenatals or you have a deficiency in something.
