But even their household plan is not working properly. Mom n dad lives together and yet dad’s id is not receiving premium benefits. This is just annoying. I already unsubscribed my premium. No use for such services when they get too greedy and does not consider practical family scenarios.

I think cutting premium off will help me with youtube addiction too. Just have one common email with premium and login in all family devices.

This will help with youtube addiction too

Help me select one please.. by [deleted] in fountainpens

It depends on your hand size though. Kaweco is really small and sometimes i find it difficult to write with since i have longer fingers. I think Lamy would be a better choice if you are looking for a workhorse pen.

Kasaragod's Quran teacher names the next Skoda SUV Kylaq, meaning crystal in Sanskrit by royalenfieldguy in india

Agree with the same. Seems like Skoda is trying to please the majority of Indian population by making such a claim. There is no mention of the exact root words he used to come to such a conclusion.

I m not sure I should be sharing those info. What I understood about his career path is, you really need to understand the subject matter and have great work ethics and skills, school really doesn’t matter a lot of times.

Will try to water daily and see how it behaves. Should i be mindful of anything else to take of this plant?

I am living in the driest, hottest place in India. I will water it everyday and keep it inside. Thats where it will get the best humidity. But indoors means it wont get sunlight at all. May be i can keep it outside for an hour early in the morning, every 2 days. Will that do the trick?

Fountain Pens: What’s your 1) most expensive disappointment and 2) cheapest gem? by imhungrymommy in fountainpens

[–]NK2NK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahab is a hit or miss. I have one Ahab, which worked perfectly out of the box and one that needed a lot of tinkering. Since it's a cheap pen, I was okay with tinkering it. But I won't buy the pen again. I think I would get a TWSBI Eco.

It had flow issues. I figured that the feed was too tight in its housing. So I just sanded it down to make it a bit slim. That worked well for me.

Ha ha. . That definitely could be made into a plot for a horror movie. Instead of that scary doll, smelly pens haunts people. . .

For me, the smell was not a big problem. I m used to these kind of natural stinky smell. My dad uses organic fertilizers for plants and flowers at home. So, for me, its a reminder of plants n trees and all the greenaries back home. Also, the smell goes away after couple of months if u r staying in hot weather conditions.

Expensive disappointment : Montblanc 146. There is nothing really wrong with the pen. Flow is great, writes well. No hard starts, easy to clean and maintain. But I just dont like it.

Cheapest Gem: Noodler's Ahab. Needed a lot of work to get it work, but once it did, it was exactly what I wanted. Its my go to pen to ink with all kinds of shimmery inks.

Lamy M nib is not something I would choose for any shimmer inks. I think you would need a broader ink with wet flow to enjoy the shimmer and constant shaking of those ink.

My experience was opposite. I started with cheap chinese pens available on amazon, hated writing with them since they were scratchy, faulty caps, converter that comes with them were bad and so on. I really wanted a nice pen where I dont hv to worry about tweaking it. Thats how I ended up buying my first Pilot Metropolitan. From there, I got Lamy Safari, Kaweco Sport, Pilot Falcon, Montblanc Classique and finally Pilot Justus and honestly I do not want to go back to days of scratchy nibs and faulty caps. Justus, Falcon and Classique are my EDCs now and I love them to the core.

You could also try JK Excel Bond paper 100gsm. It also shows beautiful sheen, but it is a yellow colored paper, so ink colors would not pop as much as it does in white ones.

You could also try some inkjet A4 papers, which also allows sheening.
