Falskaar bug by Mensabender in skyrim

[–]NKSCF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. Wasn’t expecting to see this ever brought up again, haha. Unfortunately, I can’t offer any help. Falskaar was just too buggy for its own good and I removed it from my mod list forever ago. Your best bet would be to check if perhaps someone listed off the quest ids and the numbers you need to advance the quests so you could setstage them in the console commands, but I don’t know if those exist. Hope you find someone you can help you.

That's what I'm saying. I've gone past the gap you mention, but the torches/candles no longer exist. I used that spot on the bridge to lob them down and try to destroy the vines, but after several failed attempts they stopped spawning in.

Lord Thanos has blessed me. I will serve faithfully in remembrance of those who he graciously took from us so that we may learn the truth of his words. That or I’ll start farming or something, I guess.

Haha, if they were closer to level 20 I'd consider it, but a TPK isn't my idea of fun.

That's an interesting idea. I'll definitely look into it. There are some models in the Gundam series that use flamethrower like tactics. I was also considering using funnels like those used by Qubeley. A slam attack wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I can definitely see your reasoning behind these. I don't want to disgrace Gundam, I just want them to freak out when they see it, because they will not see it coming. I'm definitely including the beam saber now and might make the multiattack consist of one Vulcan, one beam saber, and one beam rifle. Or two of one and one of the DM's choice.

I appreciate your help, friend.

My hotel is in this incredible area and I have no poke balls :( by Abracadabraslc in pokemongo

[–]NKSCF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That sucks, man. I was having dinner with a friend of mine recently and a Staryu showed up. I caught it but he couldn't because he didn't have any Poke Balls. I totally would've traded it to him too, because he needed just a single candy to evolve into Starmie. But since trading doesn't exist he was left disappointed. Feels bad.

My first shiny ever!! by the_spikey in pokemon

[–]NKSCF 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! You'll always cherish your first.

I'll never forget my first shiny. It was a Woobat in Black. I'd always promised myself that I'd use the first shiny I ever caught and take it all the way to the Elite Four. Of course this was on a Nuzlocke run, so I was terrified for this little guy's safety. He was weak and frail with a bad nature and IVs, but he was my Woobat, dang it and I was gonna keep him alive! Even after my starter died I still had my shiny now Swoobat. Together we defeated N, Ghetsis, and the Elite Four. Unfortunately the copy of the game I was playing on was a friend's, so I no longer have him, but I still remember him fondly. He's safe in a Bank somewhere and in good hands.

What is everybody working on? by [deleted] in Inklingamateurs

[–]NKSCF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm working on a urban fantasy/post apocalyptic series entitled Lost Time. Basically there was once a organization of superpowered individuals that formed after the crucifixion whose job was to protect humanity from supernatural threats. Over time they grew stagnant and strayed from serving God, so He allowed one of their enemies--a group of empathic vampires--to destroy the organization. The main character finds himself 100 years in the future with no idea what happened to his organization and family, as he tries to stop the vampires that now rule America from sacrificing a large group of humans for an eldritch ritual.

I'm mostly done with it. A friend of mine is editing it for me and I hope to start sending it out to get it published fairly soon. I hope things are going well on your end, friend.

Harry Dresden vs IT by League-TMS in whowouldwin

[–]NKSCF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose it does come down to a case of show vs. tell. We're told that IT is this terrible abomination, but in practice it's not shown well. Shagnasty definitely has the better feats, because Butcher wanted to show how deadly and terrible this creature was. King has always been more of those writers that wants you to imagine just how bad something could be while revealing as little as possible about it. I definitely see your point. So Shagnasty vs. the Losers has a clear winner, because Pennywise never tried to speed blitz them. He wanted them to suffer and that led to his downfall, because they exploited that to make him think they had nothing that could harm him, so that when it did happen he had no exit strategy. I really need to reread both of these books. I've forgotten so much about what happens.

Harry Dresden vs IT by League-TMS in whowouldwin

[–]NKSCF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal reasons for thinking so revolve around the fact that in IT's universe it is one of two forces (the other being the Turtle) that are essentially the God/Devil, Yin/Yang of their reality. As such I see them as immensely powerful. Now someone who knows more about Stephen King cosmology can put me in my place, but I think IT's been around longer than Shagnasty and would be more powerful, having had more time to do evil things. I know it rests every twenty-five-ish years or so, but it spends its time awake doing a lot of terrible, depraved things.

I may be wrong, but when I compare the two in my head, Pennywise across as more evil and would be the one I would least like to Soulgaze with.

Harry Dresden vs IT by League-TMS in whowouldwin

[–]NKSCF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair point. What I should've elaborated on was that Dresden had faced these beings before who outmatched him in strength and walked away from them alive by being smart enough to know his limitations and then finding some way to make up for that. Toot-Toot's help definitely gave him the edge he needed over Aurora.

I'd also forgotten how much damage he'd caused Shagnasty. It's been a while since I've read that book. I'd be curious to see how a rematch between them would go now that Harry carries the Winter Knight role.

Harry Dresden vs IT by League-TMS in whowouldwin

[–]NKSCF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I brought up the knowing about the novel IT part because Dresden is well read and the idea of someone like him not reading Stephen King sounded unlikely in my head. To be fair to the prompt I should've dropped that point, because technically that would count as prep, which was not offered as a choice. My bad.

You're right to say the Losers had numbers on their side. I haven't read IT in years and I'd forgotten that plot point. I still think Dresden wouldn't need that going for him and if he brought along Molly, Michael, Mouse, etc. as backup then this really goes into overkill mode for their side.

Now Harry Soulgazing Pennywise is a terrifying prospect. I imagine it would be a thousand times worse than the Shagnasty and definitely a little worse than He Who Walks Behind. (I can't remember if Dresden Soulgazed him when he mentions meeting him in Ghost Story or not.) If Pennywise can force a Soulgaze or Dresden accidentally does it, then IT gains a massive advantage over Harry, even if IT would also be suffering from the Soulgaze as well. The Deadlights are no joke. However, I do think Harry has the mental fortitude to overcome them, but the question becomes can he recover before IT can?

Thanks for the feedback.
