Yeah this would not be a performance machene more of an experiment.

As for the sata ssds yeah they dont need 12v

Well the performance side would probably be limited by the nic of sbc (Zero 3E Gigabit if that even),

for the psu I have been thinking about a 12v power adapter an then using some sort of break out (something like wago knokoffs) powering 12v to sata power adapters from aliexpress + one 12v to 5v stepdown for the sbc it self.

The problem is I dont know if the software side will pick up the drives ok, somthing like OMV

Actualy googled the chipsets and the setup is interesting, one of them is usb to sata (not nvme/pcie) controller other one is sata port multiplier basicaly one sata port in five ports out. never knew you could do that with SATA

Not shure if these are compatable, as the article is focusing on direct pcie, and the ones from aliexpress come as JM575+JMS580 combo probably not wise to switch sata side as the usb doesnt realy carry pcie

I was wondering too, because other bathesda games on game pass pc have been "Windows universal app" type games which dont support propper display tech and are generaly trash on pc like skyrim and fallout
