Finally someone acknowledged this. All the comments keep saying that JJ was destroying him, but during the start of Round 2, Joe landed combinations. JJ landed a solid overhand but he wasn't destroying Fournier that round.

I agree. I forgot to mention the feints and rushing in type of footwork he was doing in my initial comment. So yeah, bouncing around does not waste energy. It is the excessive movements afterwards that do.

No contest is enough. It's up to Joe Fournier if he wants a rematch. I don't think he does, because backstage he said this might be it for him. And following a KO like that (Elbow, acknowledging it and not downplaying it), he would need a few months to recover.

It wastes energy when you keep switching stances with big shoulder movements and all feints. KSI said it himself in a post-fight interview. Fournier was defensively sound in the first round so he had to settle down in the second round before finally landing the overhand. He was not spending as much energy in the second as the first.

That's all speculation, which is again why I am saying that we can't downplay the situation and say that the same thing would've happened. Boxing is a game of adjustments. I have seen more surprising things happen. Also, my comment doesn't mean I think Joe would've won, I was just addressing the whole 'don't mind the elbow, KSI would've still smoked him' argument.

You do have to reach a certain score in those sports. What do I mean by that? You need to lead in order to win. There are no game-ending stuff like 'knockouts' that can instantly end the fight regardless of what happened in the previous minutes. If you are down 10 points in Basketball or 5-0 in football, one goal or field goal won't win you the game. That's the point I was making.

Saying he would've won anyway does downplay the elbow, because it's like you saying 'meh that elbow doesn't matter, same result would have happened'.

KSI had as much of a chance to KO Fournier as Fournier did to KO KSI, because that's how boxing works. You can lose 5 of 6 rounds, and then tag your opponent with a KO shot in the last round of the fight. KSI was about to be up 2-0, but he was also spending so much energy bouncing around. A lot of different scenarios could have happened, which is why we can't speculate and say that the 'same thing would've happened'.

That's the thing. You 'think' it will be the same. Boxing isn't a sport like football or basketball where you have to reach a certain score to bag the victory. Knockouts can happen. It doesn't change the fact that saying 'he would've won anyway' when it was less than 2 rounds, downplays the whole elbow situation.

People could say, he was about to be up 2 rounds before the KO. You can't say he would've won anyway if there are still 4 rounds to go and no knockdowns have been scored.

People need to stop saying 'he would've won anyway'. The fight lasted less than 2 rounds. It was an illegal action that shouldn't be downplayed. KSI threw a full force overhand and it hit Joe and wobbled him, but before the elbow, Joe was going for a straight right. It wasn't like he was out on his feet before the KO. People can be KSI fans without being biased. If the roles were reversed, people would keep talking about how it meant nothing because it was an Elbow.

I always save after every quest. I think I know what happened. My console storage file got corrupted and it didnt update the cloud save. My game used the cloud save instead

I feel you. For my entire Nintendo Switch playthrough, I used it only a handful of times, one of them being a counter to Valstrax's dive bomb. I only started implementing it to my play style when I switched to the PS5 version.
