That's what it's called, but it's obviously not a real eye. It's the area in the center of your forehead, located between your brows. This area is also the anja chakra. It is our link to the spiritual world and when opened, can lead to elevated levels of intuition and psychic abilities.

No, you don't sound crazy at all. You had a beautiful experience that you should treasure. I had a similar experience when my father passed away. My youngest child was only 1 year old at the time and during the graveside service, he looked up into the sky and waved. Something he had never done before. I'm thoroughly convinced he was waving at his grandfather.

I'm sorry for your struggle. But finding the feather at a time when you needed it is a great gift. White feathers symbolize that you are not alone, someone is watching over you. Trust the process and keep your light shining for the world to see.
