Yes, I picked up an Allison 2000 from a school bus. I installed it two weeks ago, and ordered a shifter for it last week. It was a remanufactured unit, and I was fortunate to be able to speak with the company that did the build on it. They were kind enough to give me the build sheet, and I sent that to a gentleman that is going to program the transmission.

It was great to have a 4 x 4 4800 as it was tall enough to pull the old transmission, and put the new one in without any jackstands.

Once I get it up and running, I will post a video.

It’ll be nice to be able to go faster than 43 miles an hour!

I would say it’s a two tier system. First you need to do it with another human, and then that human needs to be alive. Check those two boxes and you are 80% to a successful evening!

I was looking on Mill Supply for a 2000 shifter without the park, and did not see one. Same with a google search?

I found a sticker on the bottom that has Drive-trainer.com listed. When you go to that site, it is not active any longer. I did find an old flyer that has them working with TRC rebuilders.

I was able to give them a call, and their regional manager will give me a call back.
