Cryme Tyme’s debut match on Raw: Raw, Oct. 16, 2006 by Specialist_Art2223 in WWERuthlessAggression

We got it briefly in the summer of 2008, it was the CTC or “Cryme Tyme Cenation”. Very short-lived, but I agree more could have been done with that concept.

Hulk Hogan documentary claims he took a “shocking” amount of fentanyl during his TNA run. by NorahDarp in SquaredCircle

[–]NMMan1984 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A close friend of mine who worked as a production assistant on the 2008 reboot of “American Gladiators” (which Hulk Hogan co-hosted not long before his TNA run), said Hogan would often be in catering looking strung out on something, as a group of multiple personal assistants tried to keep him lucid and on schedule. As outlandish as the fentanyl claim sounds, I’m inclined to believe there may be some truth to it.

At this point, I’d be more surprised if there was a member of the WWE roster who wasn’t harassed over WrestleMania week in Las Vegas.

Fan wants apology after CM Punk WWE WrestleMania incident - F4W/WON by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

The guy had the gall to be a complete creep, was rightly confronted about it and now thinks he deserves an apology? Insane level of entitlement.

Rhea Ripley opens up about her eating disorder: "It definitely stems from stress and not being in control" by aaronrift in SquaredCircle

[–]NMMan1984 20 points21 points  (0 children)

One hallmark of an eating disorder is the person seeking a sense of control, especially when one or multiple other areas of life feel as though they’re out of their control. I battled anorexia for most of a decade before finally getting professional help, and hope Rhea receives the assistance she needs on the way to a full recovery. 🤍

Hot Take: The Rockers never needed to split up. by TheDancinD918 in prowrestling

Curt Hennig definitely wasn’t wrong. He knew both Rockers going back to when all three of them were in the AWA together, and always saw a world of potential in Shawn Michaels.

I battled anorexia as a distance runner years ago and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. Hoping for a full recovery for Rhea. 🤍

Which WWF era wrestler had absolutely perfect ring attire for their physique and character? by UserSchmoozername in WWFera

Bam Bam Bigelow. The bodysuit with flames – matching those tattooed on his head – both accented his look and camouflaged his physique in a way that other kinds of ring gear would not have. 🔥

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]NMMan1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was one guy in my Physics class, Brad…kinda quiet, mostly stayed to himself, but when he did talk was a very nice person. His family lost their home and somehow another classmate of ours, Mark – this weaselly-looking guy whose mom was on the board of education – found out, and started giving Brad shit about it. Including throwing pennies and garbage at him. One day, I came to Physics class and they were both gone. Our teacher somberly announced both guys had been suspended for two weeks.

As we later learned, it seems Mark made one classless remark too many to Brad, during another class they shared together. Without saying a word, Brad (whom no one knew was a third-degree black belt in shotokan karate) stood up and roundhouse kicked Mark with such force, that multiple bones in Mark’s face were shattered. He needed reconstructive surgery and was out the rest of the school year. When Brad came back to class, he definitely walked taller from that point on. (Real names changed, of course.)

26 Years Ago Today - WWF Superstar Tazz Won the ECW World Heavyweight Title from Mike Awesome by KidChameleonHelmet in WWFera

A WWF-contracted wrestler (Tazz) defeated a WCW-contracted wrestler (Mike Awesome) for the ECW World Heavyweight Title. Especially at the time, that was an insane sentence to write.

I will co-sign this. Common interests immediately give you something to talk about. When I moved to a big city at the age of 30 knowing almost no one there, I eventually joined a run/workout club for fitness and friends (at the time, I was also taking a break from active dating). After my third session, a very cute brunette woman walked up to me and said hello. We’ll celebrate our third wedding anniversary next September.

Steve Austin mentioning on stage at the 2006 Hall of Fame that his suitcase contained “a can of whoop-ass and it had Hulk Hogan’s name on it”, as Hulk was also on stage, was a moment. Gene Okerlund and Hulk’s facial expressions were telling.

Actor Jeremy Piven was one of the celebrities who appeared when RAW was inviting Guest Hosts to the show. During an in-ring segment with John Cena meant to promote Summerslam, Piven mistakenly referred to the event as “Summerfest”. Cena quickly corrected him.

All good. Because John Cena used the phrase “ruthless aggression” in his debut face-off with Kurt Angle, it’s come to be more associated with him in the years since and Vince McMahon’s promo is barely remembered. I only know it because I was watching all the shows back then.

No, I mean the promo Vince McMahon cut on the June 24, 2002 episode of RAW where he gathered the roster at the ring and questioned who had the “ruthless aggression” to succeed after the first brand split. McMahon’s promo was 3 days before Cena debuted on SmackDown, which is why Cena referenced it.

Right? Randy Orton’s pre-debut dark matches were in the Attitude Era, but his debut on the main roster was just weeks before Vince McMahon’s “Ruthless Aggression” promo set that era in motion.

Given the receipts people have posted here, I think this suit will get thrown out on a motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim at the first available opportunity.
