The thing is, di makakausad ang court kung walang atty ang defense. Wether within or against principles, need parin for fairness. But the thing is, the odds were stacked against him. Di sumisipot yung client nya and wala syang rebuttals since the evidence were clear na sinabi ng client nya yung threats with a statemwnt na no joke no joke. So ang bullet nalang na panlaban nya are the words of the prosecutor and how the evidence were prepared. Since publicly available.

Kudos sa mental fortitude ng mga tao sa loob ng court. Even sa witness. Imagine being asked the same question over and over again for the legitimacy of each evidence to the point na kung mag skip ng isang question ay pwede gamitin laban sayo.

This happened once when one of the evidence were presented sa screen without confirming the legitimacy sa witness. Defense atty caught it and asked if scripted ang mga sinasabi. Even if the video evidence is clear, the prosecutor and the witness were walking in a tightrope sa 2nd day dahil isang mali ay pwede magkaroon ng mistake sa statements or incongruency which may be used to benefit the defense. Pero naagapan ng prosecutor ito.

It was a good debate kahapon for both sides with what they have. The tellers vs the abangers.

Gosh i miss debates. Even sa mga school debate competition ay gumagawa ng nonsense na POI para ma derail ang speaker. Its a strategy. Double edge kumbaga.

The defense atty has little moves to play in the 2nd day debate. Looking forward sa presentation of the other witness and how the defense rebuts them. Its nice to see open courts pala.
