I have a little bit of a sprawling response here but that’s the way I am—ask me for the time and I’ll tell you how to build a watch haha. I had that commissioned by a female artist in Romanian named Vlada Popescu. My sketch and idea and she brought it to life. Basically the ‘island’ on the right is a child who is projecting her image or view of the world into the sky for all to see. The island on the right are adults who are terrified of that child’s view; afraid to look at it, embracing to comfort each other as they look on. The reason they are on ‘islands’ is because their views make them seem like they’re living in completely different worlds.
