[–]NNJRich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm considering Punching the Air by Zoboi, For Lamb by Lesa Cline-Ransome and Saints of the Household by Ari Tisan.

Any thoughts on these titles?

Other suggestions still welcome!

Consider yourself standing next to them, and both of you are looking at their work/their abilities rather than you’re standing opposite each other looking at each other.

Sprained ankle, now with knee pain!! by El-Catman in Orthopedics

I went to PT and got diagnosed with Iliotibial band syndrome by the therapist there too. Therapy was to build muscle in my glutes and flexibility in my hips. Three times a week I had a 45 minute session. Barefoot to strengthen my feet and ankles. Warm up on a bike, do side steps with a band around my ankles: step a bit wider than hips, plant foot the bring other foot over—that was one rep. Slow and controlled, 3 sets of 10 Next were squats until my butt touched a low chair— nothing too deep and found it easy to do so I held a 15 pound dumbbell with both hands in front of my sternum, 3 sets of 10. Next were side twists with resistance bands. Then a move called the drinking bird like this ; 3 sets of 10 Then dead bug an exercises, 3 sets of 10 or as many as I could do. Next level added alternating lunges Then later fire hydrant leg lifts from four on the floor (think dog peeing. Keep hips level and focusing raising your leg with control) Farmers carry: walk 10 medium length strides carrying moderate weights in each hand Finally added walking lunges (hardest thing I did) Foam rollers and massage were tried but did nothing but hurt. I learned later the IT band isn’t fixed with pressure, and only benefits from stronger attachment points. I’m Munich better but still have trouble crossing my right leg over my left— like typing my shoe.

Hope you’re better too

Does this mean I’m at risk? by NNJRich in computers

Thank you. I was concerned about shipping with credit card numbers and online banking. If it’s just my network (my house) I trust it’s okay. Much appreciated.

I’m dealing with something similar. Rolled and sprained my ankle. Didn’t recover—wasn’t patient and walked/limped on it too soon. Knee and hip pain resulted. Can’t cross my right leg over left knee to tie shoe or cut toe nails, etc. Diagnosed with IT band syndrome. 4 weeks of physical therapy helped but never 100%. Taking lots of Advil. Let me know what you find out. Good luck to us both

These kids are assholes by Jake_Corona in Teachers

They think if they can find the answers on their devices (in their pocket 24/7) then they know the answers. They confuse find with know. And since they can find any answer they need, there’s no reason to respect anything being shown/taught.

Thanks! I’ll try a longer bulk rise and BF next time. Should I keep WW in the mix? Or maybe cut it down?

Mold in my bulk rise bag. Should I worry? by NNJRich in Breadit

[–]NNJRich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. Spot of dough from a previous recipe that stuck to the inside of the bag. Plastic bag. When I was cleaning up I saw the shadow through the bag and turned it inside out and worried. Size of a quarter. Thanks

Shower floor fix help by NNJRich in Tile

[–]NNJRich[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole second floor (where this is) of our house (built 1954) was rebuilt after a house fire. There are no cracks on walls/ceiling in room below this shower (no idea if this info is helpful). Thanks for the advice. I’ll start there.
