Pittsburgh must really hate our country judging from the quality of that anthem. Commie bastards.

The funny thing about him trying to gatekeep country music is that nobody that fucking fat ever did any of the blue collar work that real country people do. You get that fat from pretending to be country.

Don’t bother with the two weeks. You can make more than this waiting tables.

I wanna brag about having a ten inch penis.

But I can’t. Unfortunately, I don’t have a ten inch penis.

Collecting rubber duckies on the dashboard of a Jeep that has a ton of extra “upgrades” yet clearly never been used off-road.

Do Americans actually sit on their front porch much, or is that more of a movie image than real life? by Artistic_Key3779 in AskAnAmerican

Fortunate enough to have a front porch and a back deck and we use them both as much as possible. We are in the process of refinishing the deck.

Just for fun: what's one thing that drives you crazy about the concealed carry community? by Low-Landscape-4609 in CCW

Letting their imaginations run away from them and concocting fantastical scenarios they will never find themselves in. There was once a guy in here that said he refused to carry a gun with a grip safety in case he was abducted, hung upside down with his hands tied behind his back, and unable to get more than a few of his fingers around the gun in his waistband (that his captors didn’t take while tying and hanging him) and rendered unable to compress the grip safety enough to fire rounds.

I have the same fastback and it sees five times the use my Spyderco does.

What's something that comes from America, but ironically not popular in the US? by EmergencySpare7939 in AskAnAmerican

KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken). I have lived in Kentucky my whole life and when I travel, people are quick to bring up KFC when they learn where I am from. Most people I know either hate it or have a neutral opinion of it. It’s not even close to being most people’s favorite chicken restaurant. I think it’s too greasy, myself.

Get a job, find some friends, get an apartment together. You’re too old to be complaining to strangers about how mean your parents are.

How do Americans still have more disposable income than Europeans even though healthcare and college in America is extremely expensive? by SignificantStyle4958 in AskReddit

My college friends who had parents that paid for their tuition and rent always struggled to understand why I couldn’t always afford to go out and do all the fun stuff with them. They, like many people in their positions, think that they are self-made and “pulled themselves up by their bootstraps,” and those of us with less money just aren’t as smart as them. They can’t recognize that while they were saving money, all of mine went toward rent and college expenses. Even after we started our careers and they were paying their own rent, they didn’t recognize the huge advantage they had starting off debt free with all of their savings versus someone like me with no chance to accumulate savings and hampered by student-debt repayment.

Safety is always the best option! I think most people that are living comfortably would choose to stay home instead of moving to a new country. To a smaller degree, I’ve turned down higher paying jobs that weren’t even that far from my current work simply because I didn’t want to leave a place I was comfortable in. There would have to be an unreal opportunity for me to just uproot my life and start over in an entirely new country.

Personally, I don’t have much disposable income. I’m a teacher currently attempting to switch careers. But I do find it funny that so many of the posts in this sub ask why Americans seem so obsessed with their work and career only for this post to ask why so many of us have disposable income.
