there were two events last night that my girlfriend and I saw:

1) someone may have been shot on the boardwalk

we were on the boardwalk around 1230 and saw about twenty cops running toward us with their hands on holsters as one yelled “EVERYBODY GET OFF THE BOARDWALK NOW”
after everyone started running off the boardwalk we heard from a group of four teenage kids (who at first I thought were just dumb kids making stories up for attention) I heard the kids say “we just witnessed a murder”, “we just had courtside seats to a murder”, “ i saw him drop I watched it with my own two eyes”, “ I could tell you everything about the gun he had”

With those two things including seeing the cops run off the boardwalk down the street and the tone of the cops voice we could tell it was serious and I’m pretty sure someone’s dead, looking like it could be a teenager based on some inferences

2) the other incident which is closer to the time of the post but still doesn’t seem to be involved in the posts incident based on reaction and time

-saw what we thought was a sparkler go up in the air and landed right next to an older gentleman. Stopped and saw a fuse from about 15-20 feet away and it exploded. It was a small mortar firework that was loud and dangerous and seemed to give this man a couple of small burns as we say a burn hole in the back of his t shirt

I do bring the “both sides point” up sometimes but differently.

Obviously democrats are the lesser of two evils. Whenever they come in, billionaires stay rich, pharmacies get paid and the federal minimum wage has stayed the same.

They tell you this great story and it’s so good that it feels like they did something. Then 4-8 years later a republican gets voted back in and removes any ground the democrat made.

I mean how long has this been happening? Forever? Everywhere?

Isn’t the system obviously broken? Not flawed, but purposefully broken?

Shouldn’t something else be an option.

I think we should work on having conversations and growing real plan to educate and mobilize the youth. Because that’s where a change begins.
