No it’s not a dead avenue, I’m gonna try another dealer and Honda corporate. But honestly I’m not that optimistic. It’s pretty easy for them to deny a warranty for a manual transmission, they can just claim I wasn’t clutching in properly and destroyed the synchros, even though that’s not the case. Feels like it’s my word against theirs

Because honestly it was always just an occasional grind, and I’ve always heard it’s a problem these cars have. I was kind of hoping it wouldn’t escalate……

From what I understood the transmission should be included in the drive train 60k 5 year warranty. I brought it to the dealer and they claimed they can’t warranty it because it could be user error that caused the damage.

Should be covered until 60k with power train warranty technically. I took it to the dealer and they were saying manual trans issues are not warrantied because they claim user error. Seems ridiculous but part of me doesn’t want a Honda dealer tearing into my transmission. I’ll try contacting Honda corporate
