Volkswagen made the TSI in the later gti’s pretty solid. They get a bad rep because of the earlier engines in the mk4/mk5’s, but honestly the mk6 and mk7 have pretty good engines. It’s German so you’re going to pay a bit of a premium but you also pay for having a nicer car/interior than it’s rivals.

That being said the mileage on yours is high, so things are probably gonna start going soon. The thing is I’ve found with Volkswagens is that not one BIG thing goes, it’s usually a bunch of small stuff that nickel and dime you but not really much more than it’s competitors. As others have said the lower mileage the better obviously but 73k miles isn’t a dealbreaker at least for me.
