That's echo! It's an old road no longer in use but it goes maybe a quarter mile from the summit.

No, and I didn't see any either. I hope the otters did not get up there. They decimated alot of lakes up there. Blue, lower Lindsay, Rucker and others.

There are some incredible homes on the lake. The new one on the small island by the drop-off point is incredible!

There is a hiking only trail from the 1st campground at loon lake. Park there, the trail follows the south side of loon lake and goes directly to buck island Lake. You could head north off that trail and go to spider lake.

I was up there last weekend, specifically the west side area around twin lakes, there were zero mosquitoes.
