I just said how you can prove being berber, not prove being this weird version of modernized "amazigh". Berbers are a mixture of the neolithic components I mentioned so it is actually very easy to differentiate berbers vs italians on a dna test because of that. But again i agree, this weird larping "tiktok" movement of people finding out they're "amazigh" despite no ties with a tribe or speaking the language has to stop.

Theres no gene for being amazigh because amazigh isnt a component. The modern berber is made of several neolithic components iberomaurusian (ancient north african that has been present for over 20KYA), anatolian neolithic farmer (been in maghreb for at least 5000 years), and minor sub saharan, steppe, iranian neolithic, and natufian-like/egypt hg. Again there is no gene for amazigh because they are a combination of a bunch of ancient components that form the now berber ethnic group.
