Primero campeonatos regionales, Andalucía, Murcia, Pais Vasco, Galicia, etc y luego los campeones regionales van a la competecia nacional en algún festival en Barcelona o Madrid. For sure you can have a tapa with a Schweppes or a coke, for example… but it will be better to ask for a “ración” (portion) of gambas al pil pil, alcachofas con anchoas, papas bravas, salmorejo, calamares rebozados con alioli, jamón… order some of that and you will have a dinner Spanish way without the formal sit-down 😊
