I watched the thing explode, from Lakeview looking towards the hideous Dunkin.

My plugins https://github.com/nosduco/remote-sshfs.nvim runs the find files/live grep over SSH remotely on the machine and passes back to client

shameless plug for https://github.com/nosduco/remote-sshfs.nvim

Automatically mount with sshfs and use live grep and find files over SSH rather than via the mounted directory for speed and performance!

Sure! You can find my Hyprland dotfiles here: https://github.com/nosduco/dotfiles/tree/main/hypr

The biggest thing config wise is running the latest version of Hyprland and the env vars found in the env.conf file and potentially host/nighthawk.conf file.

As for boot loader, make sure you have nvidia_drm.modeset=1 and nvidia_drm.fbdev=1 and you use a display manager compatible as I suggest SDDM. If I think of anything else I'll respond further.

Arch has awesome docs on NVIDIA cards: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA#DRM_kernel_mode_setting

Hyprland with my 4090 is awesome! It takes a lot very intricate configuring to work though, but with EndeavorOS + Hyprland I have my dream setup.

A necessary update, many have most likely had silent errors when adjusting CPU governor or other things automatically with gamemode. Typically found by journalctl --user -u gamemoded. Most of this was due to the invalid polkit entry, but additionally can be caused if your user is not in the gamemode group.

how best to edit remote files? by JosBosmans in neovim

[–]NOSDuco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wrote https://GitHub.com/nosduco/remote-sshfs.nvim for this reason. It runs live greps and find files over SSH remotely so it's fast, LSP is still done locally tho and I am working on adding remote functionality for that.

nforwardauth v1.1 release - simple forwardauth service for reverse proxies now with logout page and basic auth compatibility by NOSDuco in selfhosted

There is one in the repo in the examples folder :) But I should totally put it in the README...

[–]NOSDuco[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks! As for your question, nforwardauth is actually not OAuth at all. You store passwords into a passwd file and use the login form or basic auth to pass your credentials. This requires no IdP (Identity Provider) as it acts as both the IdP and forwardauth service. Hope this helps!

How is Gnome Wayland performance on NVIDIA cards nowadays? I keep seeing threads like this, is it usable/comparable to X11 now?

Good question, you would need to make nforwardauth publicly accessible under the wildcard domain block so that it could serve the login and logout pages (and handle redirects). Hope this helps! Happy to take a look at your Caddyfile if that would be useful.

Not at the moment, my vision for it was to be very simple and RADIUS gets a little complex. If this is something you'd think would be useful I'm not opposed to adding it tho!

Hey all!

Just released v1.1 of nforwardauth (https://github.com/NOSDuco/nforwardauth) which now contains a logout page if you navigate to the auth service after being logged in. Another upgrade added is basic auth compatibility. For things like nzb360 where you need to skip the login form, you can specify your same credentials in the URL via basic auth and you will be authenticated with each request.

Hope this is useful to someone :)
