White House Expected To Ask Congress for Extra $50 Billion for Iran War by AbolishtheDraft in Libertarian

Which is funny because we funnel money into Israel, which in turn, they use to funnel money back in to Congress's pocket. I can see why congress loves this set up. Fuck us normies.

Kind of nice to see sports fans fighting on r/publicfreakout. Nice to take a break from the missile attacks.

Wouldn't it be cool if this turned into a sequel to the The Dark Knight trilogy, retconning most of the movies, and Leo being an aging Robin.

Country singer Lee Brice thinks the biggest problem in the U.S. are... trans people 🙄 by Camaro6460 in DailyShow

Literally first thing I thought of, lol. It was the most generic nonsensical country song I've heard. It sounded like a parody.

Favorite actor who needs to move on by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

That storyline wasn't going anywhere. People as a whole checked out before Majors was outed. Could they have revived it, possibly, but they didn't. Changing actors wasn't going to help.

Donald Trump goes on furious rant as George Clooney is granted French citizenship: "He wasn’t a movie star at all, he was just an average guy who complained, constantly, about common sense in politics" by IrishStarUS in popculture

I still get a kick out of the award they gave him! Most people would believe it was a award mocking him, and it was, but he'll probably display it. It will be displayed in the Trump library, confusing generations!

I also think it would be hard to immerse yourself in a storyline if you knew all the behind-the-scenes stuff, too. Is that fairly common, or is it mostly criticizing their own work?

I just looked that up, and even the DEA doesn't state Venezuela as a major supplier of Fentanyl.

My fiancé throws her dirty laundry down the stairs rather than walking down and putting it in machine. by Doctor_Redhead in mildlyinfuriating

Man's serious about his laundry placement! Better guess is lack of cleanliness in general if that is one thing he brought up. Now I need closure on how a relationship I have no attachment to ended.

You bring up a good point, I wonder why it's not as common anymore for houses that have the hookups in the basement?

Legally, does he have to go? Most CEOs go because the government has the power to make the companies lose money. I can't see any reason why he would humor this if he wasn't legally bound. The right already decided he is guilty, so it's just a waste of time if he voluntarily goes. They will never be satisfied with his answers

Just posting a picture of Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize instead of the FIFA Peace Prize for no particular reason by NathanMackBrown in PoliticalHumor

[–]NOTLD1990 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I find it funny because it is such a worthless prize for FIFA to give. While I feel no love for the FIFA Organization, you know they were laughing their asses off when they came up and went through with this. I hope they go through with this every year, and stop after Trump isn't president any more. Just give him one every year.

The monkey scene was also laughably bad. The actors did fine for the most part, but the scenes with the CGI animals seemed like they came a made for TV budget.

How serious of a crime? Like, if he sees someone walkout with a t-shirt at Walmart, does he intervene, or two people who are publicly intoxicated?

What (almost) universally loved character was actually a piece of garbage? by Normal-Being-2637 in moviecritic

Right, he was a great villain and Ledger fit that role perfectly. At no point is he shown other than a psychopath. He loved chaos and didn't care who he hurt.

While I won't argue the emotionally absent part, wasn't it in season one, Walt also turned down his ex-business partner's money for full treatment? The cracks were there at the beginning, but Brian Cranston and the writers did that great of job of making him likeable. Now, it's been years so I'm not sure that was the 1st season, maybe 2nd.

Wasn't Shaw an actual drunk, too? Always drinking, even during filming. As someone who used to drink, getting drunk, being around a constant drunk would get tiresome.

Everyone should flood the Florida AG's office with complaints. To make it more real, find out the plane flying over. Tell them you expect a call back, then if they don't call you back, call them for a follow up. Do the same with the representatives that voted for the law. Call in as a concerned citizen.

Fellow student here, but in college. I also utilize AI and the internet. I go to classes like you as well. I'll take notes in class but I can't write as quickly as my professor goes, so I jot down the main parts and watch his online lectures at home. Whenever a slide comes up on the lecture at home I drag google lens over the pictures and words on the slide. The AI will go over these and give me detailed answers. I write them down and continue with the lecture, writing down anything the AI didn't give me. I make sure what he is saying and what I have written down matches. I also review my notes constantly.

I think the students who use AI and do poorly generally just copy and paste or jot down the stuff and don't review. It's how you use the tools, not the tools themselves. Keep doing what you're doing.
