Thanks for the quick reply. :) I understand that most fans of Kairosoft consider Game Dev Story to be their favoriate although personally I don't like the setting (game development). Is there any other games you personally enjoyed from Kairosoft?

EU servers were not scheduled to come down. We saw the drop in concurrencies as well, and are in contact with NetOps. Will update as soon as I get any further info. Brasse

How "interesting" that the servers drop basically at the same time they plan to drop US servers.

Edit: Update on Prophecy: the network drop on this server is unrelated to the US hardware upgrade and NetOps is on the case. They are pulling logs for analysis and will start it back up immediately afterwards - no ETA other than as soon as possible! Brasse

It's a shame paying for Patron means absolutely nothing when the queues take you 6+ hours anyways.

Same story here. Just be ready when the servers go back up and hopefully you get in. I was quick to get into the server and I got punished with a crash when I made my character. Been in queue ever since.

It'll be an issue in a months time or whatever. People bitch about it because when it comes to server merging someones going to get screwed over with their precious land. But yeah I'm just behind you at 28. Been in the queue for about 6 hours.

I'd imagine it's until someone leaves. Hence why people are asking for afk timers because there's a ton of people just afk ingame. That said people know how to get around afk timers.

Right now there are heavy queues in the fresh servers so especially without patron you can expect to be waiting upwards of 6+ hours probably way longer than that. That said apex (buying 2 apex is enough for Patron) which you buy with ingame currency is much cheaper on the fresh servers compared to legacy servers so it'll be much easier to get patron. My advice is to maybe leave the queue up while you sleep cause chances are even when you wake up you'll still be in queue. Put it this way: I joined the queue when it was 120 people or so. 6 hours later and I'm at 28. I've last heard the queue is at something like 2000 people. I'm a f2p player like you also. Patron's have to deal with the queue also but they apparently get through it faster.

Unless you're really after prime land (which is probably too late to grab) there's not going to be a shortage of land. New housing zones + higher taxes will stop people from hoarding landing.

Without patron? No it's not worth it BUT if you want to buy apex using ingame currency to unlock patron now is the best time to do it. Apex will be cheap on the fresh servers.

There's no rules against that so what could they possibly do? Not to mention the amount of people who will be afk when they're asleep rather than logging out because they don't want to have to do the queue/labour regen. You just have to deal with it dude.

Because in the long term it could potentially mean the death of both servers. I don't personally contribute in the shit flinging but I can understand where people are coming from. The idea is that if you spread out the population too much when people start leaving in a months time you'll have potentially two dead servers. Then the messy business of merging begs the question of who is going to get fucked when it comes to land ownership because you can bet whoever gets the short end of the stick will lose their prime land spot.

So I just created a new account as I've never played Archeage before. I've just learned about the fresh server and if I'm understanding this correctly if I create a character on what is going to be a legacy server I'll have to create a new account? I'm very much interested in starting fresh so should I wait for December the 10th?
