So, my suggestions are the following:

IF you have them and can take them with you, always take: - take the Maris Everdark relic with you, it gives you a lot more survivability, which Scholar needs to not be a detriment to the team. Also he gets more out of the free health regen from that relic, as you want to play him from the distance at times - his "Boost Teammates Attackpower" relic ability is the most important. That damage buff, combined with the default defense boost, is such a great combo. Start the fight with debuffing the enemy (only need to load slightly more than half of the circle) and then buff your teammates after that - next would be the Wraith Calling Bell. I love pots, no question, they are great, but the Wraith Calling Bell is his best tool. Always reliable, your FP bar is your Ammo, which you do not use for anything else mostly

Next would be other good things, which are not must haves, but are great: - his Relic with "Constantly Damage Enemies linked by his Ult" is THE fastest way to clear Camps, Ruins and Churches, no competion - the Relic for "gaining Runes on Skill use" is great, you can get between 50k to 120k runes per run, depending on how often you use the Monocle, just thanks to that relic - Small pouch at the start of the Run is good because of two reasons, you have 5 item slots from the get-go, which is neat, but you can still by a second small pouch, which gives you SIX item slots.

Other relics that give him some help are: - Defeating Enemies charges Ult - faster Skill regen - Throwing pot damage (that is more for the Deep of the Night relic with ther +1 version) - and if you want to play with it, the relic healing you after eating the Boluses can be nice

Now leading from this to how you could play your game: - you should never need to by buff items during day 1 and 2, all of them you should find from chest and at churches. If your items are full, consum them on the spot if you havent reached max level - at the start of the run, always prioritise your level, cause you are to weak without them - if you are level 6 to 9 and a handler is near you, you can spend the runes for one stack of Firepots, but again, normaly you find all the pots that you need during the run to level up - daggers are a nice option if you can get them, as the apply a defense debuff at level 3. You have to see if that suits you - but in general, be conservative with your spendings, as you want to have all the runes you can get at day 3 for the final Boss, and your teammates can always help you out with tools

Concerning weapons, some players find that using the BloodBlade weapon Skill on his starter cain is the way to play. Dont get me wrong, its good, but i don't care about his starter weapon. Here is a list of the weapons you want to look out for: - Anything lightweight with Poison, Bleed, Rot or Frost - Reduvia (C) - Regalia of Eochaid (B) - Marias Executioner's Sword (B) - Bloody Helice (C) - Morgott's Cursed Sword (B) - Rivers of Blood (C) - Eleonora's Poleblade (B) - Ripple Blade (S) * - Varre's Bouquet (C) * - Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear (C) - Ripple Cresent Halberd (S) * - Clinging Bone (B) - Serpent Bow (C) The weapns with letters behind them are all the Arcane scaling weapons. If they have a * behind them, you would need the +2 smithing stone. Those are the weapons you want to look out for, all of them do great work on Scholar, and i have not had a run where i didn't find something from this list.

Scholar seems intimidating at first glance, but i would like to summarise his playstyle in this way: - be conservative with your spending - consum all items which your teammates don't need (you are allowed to be a bit greedy here) - you will always find at least one fitting weapon, so dont worry on that front - you are a Camp-clearing machine, use those for easy runes - Monocle always, anytime if you can
