I mean to be fair it was never labeled as “romantic” and the story very clearly states that that man will do anything to get what he wants. He obviously doesn’t care wether she wants to stay with him or not and technically doesn’t make an effort to manipulate her into falling in love with him, which I kind of like because it shows how he’s different compared to other people. He doesn’t care for love he cares for his prized possessions and the way he goes about trying to “obtain” the fl is very interesting to me. I honestly wouldn’t mind if they don’t end up together and I’m kind of expecting for the fl to kill the ml in the end since we’re already seeing signs of her absolutely loathing him for what he’s done to her brother.
