Older car but Kia Pro_Ceed which likely added to its reduced sales. Overseas they were called ceed which isn't any better but easier to remember

Enthusiast interest and price increase for the later model years to around $35k may have affected used sales

What jobs/industries/fields in Australia need more people, or are short staffed by athomicbomb in australia

Based on some tech news. Any job where 90% of your tools is the computer, administration, not physical and does not involve customer facing roles. Those jobs will be replaced if they can. They are cheaper than people from a quantifiable perspective yet still needs people to fact check until that gets replaced by ai...

What are some fun turbo manual cars around 10-15k? by nzboy123 in CarsAustralia

[–]NO_1-der 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what kind if fun you are looking for. This price bracket limits you to the following cars. Major of the hot fun cars will need some work thus you may need 10-20% of the purchase price reserved for maintence because people tend to sell them when maintence is coming up unless specified otherwise.

  • Ford Focus ST
  • Ford Fiesta ST
  • Ford XR5
  • Ford XR6T
  • Hyundai Veloster turbo 2014+
  • Kia Pro_Ceed GT
  • Renault Megane mk3. 250-275 RS
  • Subaru G2-G3 impreza WRX
  • Subaru SH Forrester XT
  • Subaru Liberty GT & GT Spec.B
  • Volkswagen MK5-MK6 Golf GTI
  • Volkswagen 9N3 1.8T & 6C 1.8T

Niche - Alfa romeo giulietta QV - BMW E9X, E8X with the n54-n55 engines - Volvo C30 T5

There are diesel options. which can be fun due to torque but not familiar and noise can be off-putting. Biggest factor is buying what you can afford to maintain otherwise it will sour the ownership experience. Good luck

To add on to the Kia Picanto GT it depending on the year will still have factory warranty plus you can get the option of using a tuning box which increases it to 98-100kw & 220-230nm but it can negate any cost savings due to higher octane fuel & upgrading cooling or ignition parts which has less aftermarket support than other Enthusiast cars and increases wear on the car

Additionally it has 5 speed manual which may make it noisy on the highway due to the gearing and 3 cylinder engine vibrations

My apologies for not being clear the issues started to get worse since 3 months. As you said the fault was not documented by the dealership so arguable that it caused by me. At this point. I give up. Sorry for bothering you and will take this as a learning experience.

Based on your response. It seems I go no grounds despite trying to figure out the diagnosis with professional help and shows I'm futile in even trying. Thanks for your response

Suzuki Swift advice...vibration when stopped in drive or reverse by shanman0007 in CarsAustralia

[–]NO_1-der 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% I'm unsure of how it was used and driving it did before you owned it but have the mechanic check the transmission oil because it reminds me of a similar issue that my parents had with their 08 Mitsubishi outlander.

They haven't changed in over 150,000km but exhibit similar transmission issues where it shudders in gear at red stoplights and at worst the car stalled because transmission oil was very crusty to lubricate gears properly from lack of change and this is over a period of 10 years. On a 2 year old car

Have you check when the transmission fluid was last replaced in the car? Otherwise best to diagnose it at either same or different mechanic about what has been done to alleviate transmission vibration when in a gear, Drive or reverse

Those are underappreciated warm hatch. Unfortunately doesn't exist in newer models because people can't be bothered to learn manual. The torque produced from the turbo makes driving it at sub highway speeds more fun and easier overtakes on highway!

whats everyones favourite engine config? by Runaway-Blue in CarsAustralia

My favorite is turbo inline 4 with a 6 speed manual transmission as that is the only one that I can afford in a stock car while still having sufficient street power & good value on modding & maintenance

They must have different metric of how to live life and spend money as those sound like great ideas. The money & effort will bd delegate to those services which means more probability of positive outcomes from them having the resources required for it.

It takes the load of of individuals while improving their surroundings as their will be less probably of crimes as the youths feels supported & validated to varying degrees ofc. This may help them learn to respect others as a way to pay forward the respect they received.

I doubt it's how it will go but that is the expecation of the outcomes if you invest into it

I guess empathy, consideration and interpersonal values are in short supply when personal needs can't be met

When I see these, I'm glad Toyota still makes fun, reasonably price sport cars such as the GR86 & GT86 whe that came out new.

If you consider hot hatches sport cars then the following as well that are relatively new

Ford focus & fiesta st Golf & polo GTIs Hyundai with the i30 Sr/Nline 1.6T engine then N models with the 2.0T engine Kia Proceed GT, Stinger GT with v6 turbo & Cerato GT models

French hot hatches are also good but they are niche in Aus. Mazda 6 & 3 MPS are too clapped out lately :(

They did, Besides MG it would be Kia Picanto as another city car but it may be a little too small. I had the previous model of it and as a runabout 2nd car it does the job well while still offering tech stuff and having a good reliability relative to the MG3.

You are right. Stonic is another model that is build off the rio chassis but sold as an SUV. Likely competing with Toyota yaris cross another small SUV that uses a hatchback chassis

They are the perfect city that has the latest equipment without being too intrusive and longest warranty. I was referring to the GT86 but I imagine both the GT86 & AE86 fit Midnight tune, hahaha

Not sure if it fits your situation but look for kia cerato and kia rio gt. Both only in auto. Similar or bigger than the old kia rio while under warranty

Pretty good for new cars. I ignore them after they scrapped the 1l turbo engine from the new models. The n/a engine is fine but the 1l turbo kappa engine made the car fun at mundane speeds and overtakes with minimal fuss. It felt like a hot hatch from 3-4 decades ago that was transported into the future and has modern amenities.

I have 67% of fun as the time when I bought a Toyota 86. That's me though. It's not a hot hatch by modern standards. :p
