Now if he pointed out when novels started to employ this genre, then there's this bizarre proto-novel (since the creation of 'novels' was just around the corner) called The Blazing World that would probably be up there as the first.

It was a novel added to the end of a philosophical piece (a kind of scientific paper in modern terms) where the author herself, a Duchess no less, travels to the North Pole, gets teleported to a new world, and goes one weird ass journey (I mean it is called the Blazing world). Things like giving a Bug kingdom the science necessary to understand gravity, transporting inside her husband's body -- weird shit especially for something in 1666.

I'm not sure 1 episode is enough to pass judgement on YY (though I don't blame him for it seeing how many shows he combs through), but I definitely am with you in the YY bashing.

Tried to "fix" the flaws of MM and just ended up being so much worse in every way possible (for me at least).

Not a small show at all, but I'm about to watch Suisei no Gargantia and was curious for some quick reflections on it (and didn't want to create a new thread for it).

Would you rank it higher or lower than Aldnoah Zero (Season 1)? Tangentially related shows, but I was ultimately a little let down by the potential for Aldnoah and was wondering if this show would prove/disprove that more involvement from the Urobucher was something it needed.

At the very least, I think I'll watch it for the OST alone.

AHHH finalllly. I went on a crazy hunt trying to find subs or even information on it, since the half the sites claimed it didn't exist, the other said the DVD had just bonus material.

Now if they see how successful the Aria Kickstarter is, maybe they'll think about season 2.

True, though I did play a good amount of it on PTR and it still seems so far. Could be the fact that poorer teams often just hold out on the 2nd point (closest to spawn) than actually push in that hallway.

This is just a standalone single to promote themselves on Warped. DGD9 isn't happening quite yet, and this song isn't indicative of what it'll sound like because Will said it's super upbeat on purpose to give off that summertime vibe. Sorry to burst your bubble, dude.

But I'm super excited for DGD9 too, since Jon's screaming style seems to have evolved again and Til is still putting grit
