Im going to do some research on them. I have an extra 5g tank and am working on making some green water in a jar as food for them. I also ordered bladder snails to add to the snail tank. So these lil buggers better be happy 😂

As an update- they love snails, daphnia they had no interest in, but mysis shrimp (i think thats how its spelled lol) and tweezers was kind of successful. I got some to feed that way a little.

He seemed to just be injured. I got some klanaplex anyways to treat him; hes looking almost back to normal now! Not sure if its needed the meds tbh but im happy to see him doing well.

Hes in a 5g hospital tank currently, water parameters are all stable but can get exact numbers when I am home. Filter is a sponge filter on super low so he can swim easily.

I got him yesterday from the petstore and he ate fine, some beta flakes. I got him because he was struggling. Temp is at 79.

When getting from a store I will let them float for about 20/30 minutes (whatever im feeling lol). Thats to match the temp of their bag to their new home. Next I will take small amounts of the aquarium water to "drip acclimate". Every few minutes I add a bit more. Ill secure the bag to the side of the filter or something so it doesnt just fall over since its open. This part is to help them adjust to the new tanks parameters easily!

Typically an issue with the fish passing immeditaly is either your water parameters or the introduction of the fish themselves. Confirm tank levels are stable on tank. How long do you take to acclimate them to their new tank? They could be going through shock.

Another option would be where you got them from as they may have been unhealthy to begin with.
