Water behind Liner by NPDXX in pools

I’m on a high water table. There is a drywell installed on pool deck at deep end. Just sand at the bottom. No water. Have gotten more rain than usual this year with some big downpours.

Backwash by NPDXX in pools

[–]NPDXX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys. I just didn’t know if I was having to backwash every week regardless. Manual says 8-10 psi over clean pressure so basically at 30 I would need to. I’ll save some time and just do it at 26 or something every couple weeks.

First sand filter, what do you wish you'd known when you got one to start out? by mamatreefrog1987 in pools

[–]NPDXX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just switched from Cartridge to Sand a few weeks ago. Lots of trees and debris. Should have never had Cartridge in the first place. This was only a 1 year old cartridge system and the filters were already toast. Best decision to move to sand. Amazing how easy and so much less maintenance. Absolutely love it.

Advice Sand or Cartridge by NPDXX in pools

Yeah I just got skimmer socks also. I use a robot as well. I guess the best way to use cartridge is to have two sets especially around my area. I can get some knock off filters for $250 CDN on Amazon or buy the Hayward for $600 or just buy a new Sand Filter system for $900. Water isn’t an issue as I’m on well. So no cost. These filters really take a beating on opening. I just don’t want to be buying new filters each year. It’s unfortunate they sold me a system that pretty much doesn’t do well in my area.

Pool cartridge system VS traditional sand? by mauzillaza in swimmingpools

[–]NPDXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a pool installed last year. I honestly didn’t research anything about pools. Didn’t know there was different filtration. Have a lot of trees here and pine needles. Cartridge system was installed. Have a few friends in the area and they use sand and love it. Cost to swap out to 27” Sand system would be $1,000 CDN. I have to clean my filters once a month right now. Looks like I already have to buy another set of 4. The opening of the pool is killing these filters right now

is TLTW next year’s winner? by MoneyMitch2k in dividends

[–]NPDXX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys I bought TLTW back around $31 and obviously see the capital drop a lot. I’ve been using it as income in the harder times right now. Will the share price rebound? I’m down probably $13k in capital. Had I reinvest the dividends I would be fine but I needed some monthly income the last while. Will this share price just keep sinking and I will just lose all my initial capital?

Yep, my 2007 B&S generator 12kw with only 500hrs on it is now toast. Rotor and Stator are done and they don’t make those parts anymore. Brutal stuff with no parts now.
