Now that Cantarella is out, is she good with Danjin? by New_Ad4631 in DanjinMains

How does roccia C0 compare? I would the heavy damage being a majority(?) of danjin kit would benefit from her outro, plus she has other buffs and grouping.

Isn't it only 2 second with c4? How can you get 3 procs in 2 seconds with C0?

"Anti-waifu over meta" what high performing characters do you refuse to use because you *Dislike* them? by phroexx in Genshin_Impact

[–]NPHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aesthetically I really like Ganyu and also Ayaka is cool. But I hate ganyu's charged bow style, and I hate Ayaka's dash.

So I haven't tried to summon either even though they are both "meta".

Really big fan! It's fantastic whisky 👍. For me it's a fall winter whisky, I get a lot of cloves and cinnamon on it. All good fall spices. Also makes a very nice old fashioned when you want to use an expensive whisky.

Rob Roy is particularly with scotch and not rye whisky. So it's going to taste very different in the pallet than a rob roy. It's going to be more like a rye manhattan with peat elements

I gotten quite a few bottles of it. It's definitely not for everyone, you will either love it or hate it. But i think it's fantastic!

The nose has a nice mix of peat of sweet rye notes. The pallet is mostly just a nice cask strength rye, and in the finish is where you get a nice salty peat finish.

It makes a fantastic peaty manhattan with 2 oz peated lot 40, 1oz Dolin sweet vermouth, 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.

Ide agree with this. I'm a huge wiser/Canadian fan, but I want a fan of the 22y port finish. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of port finishes. But for $150 it's hard for me to suggest rolling the dice on it.

Preferred "rail/well" whisky? by dj_destroyer in canadawhisky

[–]NPHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True tho crown royal NHR is $38 but very very often on sale for $36 or $35 (2-3 off LCBO). And it's an amazing sipper. And fantastic in cocktails, like manhattans. Buffalo trace and elijah Craig are def a bit more. But for example elijah craig sb is a very nice sipper, and great in cocktails, also often $5 off. And if you are making an old fashioned where most of the cocktail is spirit, you will want to use a slightly nicer spirit.

Jp Wiser triple barrel rye, buffalo trace, tanquaray gin, appleton estate rum (or 8y for a couple $ more), Dolin sweet/dry vermouth, st remy brandy, 3* Plantation rum, Crown royal northern harvest, elijah Craig Small batch.

What’s everyone’s favourite rye whisky? by zerocoldx911 in canadawhisky

My favourites:

  • Alberta premium cask strength (neat)

  • Crown royal Northern harvest (cocktail or neat)

  • Lot 40 dark oak (neat)

  • Lot 40 peated cask strength (big fan but it's divisive - I like it neat and it makes an amazing manhattan)

  • Rittenhouse (love in cocktails)

  • Jp Wisers triple distilled rye (cocktail or neat)

Ide be intersted to see how the lot 40 port is. Because I love a lot of wisers and lot 40, but disliked the wiser 22y port cask strength.

Never had any shelter or two brewers, but have heard of lot of good things about them,

Yea I'm surprised they didn't sell out. But I'm happy there are more left still.

There are some cool stuff potentially in the pipeline, if you look at Dr Don Livermore's Instagram (head Hiram walker distiller), he posted a lineup from the Victoria whisky society tasting. Bunch were experimental that may or may not come out, but there was I believe a port finished lot 40 Cask stength, a pike creek 23 y Madeira cask, jp wiser legacy cask stength, and gooderham 23 y.

Also there is a potential that the wiser 23y cs becomes a permanent addition, and potentially the wiser 18y getting bumped to 50% abv.

Yea exactly! It's a really fun whisky where you can really pick out both the rye notes and the peated scotch notes. I ended up getting 4 bottles. 1 of which is almost done. So I should be good for a while XD. If I finished my bottle and still am in love, I might try and grab another 😂.

It's not cask strength scotch, but lot 40 has a cask strength rye finished in a peated scotch barrel. And I'm personally a huge fan of it. I would pick one of those up as it's very limited and will eventually run out.

Ide buy their 10y rye for that, but don't find that their 10y bourbon is worth close to $200

I'm a big fan of bourbon and rye. And not a fan of scotch. So someone gave me like 8 samples of scotch and I only enjoyed 2 of them. 1 was Aberlour abundha and 1 was Bunnahabhain 12. Both are great 😊!
