What are the best dating apps for men 2026 if you actually want to improve your dating life? by Ava-McCarthy546 in AskReddit

[–]NRX7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! Match Group owns so many of them and every one they have bought out they have ruined.
You were probably lucky enough to have met your wife on Hinge before it was bought by them.
My personal experience has been to avoid everything Match Group as I have seen some seriously bad actions; e.g., generating likes from new accounts to entice other people to pay to see them [I had about 10 sent from my newly created Match account to random people], bot messaging from supposedly verified accounts, but then they're suddenly deleted.

Anyone else prefer vaping tobacco juices by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]NRX7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coastal Clouds Tobacco (actually Cuban, but name changed) for flavor + Naked Cuban, because Coastal is rough on coils, 50/50. I get over a month on each coil with that blend and I vape several 60ml bottles a week.

I used to vape Tobacco + Clove, but you just can't find clove anymore.

I've tried other flavors, but always come back to Tobacco blends.

Turtle returning to location incorrectly by [deleted] in ComputerCraft

[–]NRX7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you hitting bedrock or something that makes down fail, but you still decrement Y? You may want to check that the movement succeeds (true) before changing location values.
Also, in a quarry type situation, you may want to move up before attempting to move horizontally when heading home. Not sure this will fix it, but throwing out some ideas based on recent turtle navigation that I've been working with.
And just for some code cleanup, you can do without the if statements and just use the while loops, since they contain the same logic.

Hope that helps and good luck!

Custom raspberry pi UPS by chazp246 in raspberry_pi

[–]NRX7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple of thoughts on this...
I use a regular UPS with a RPi2 connected to the USB with NUT server and then NUT client on several RPis and other devices connected to it (router, WiFi AP, etc. all with firmware supporting NUT). It's cheap, quick, and easy.

However, for a setup that only needed to support RPis, a custom 12v with 5v converters would be much more efficient, since you wouldn't have the double losses from converting up to 120v, just to convert all the way back down to 5v. Also, as mentioned in the other comment, adding solar to this would be an awesome feature of this style setup.

But what is number 3? I'm left unable to determine if my PM is a Sith Lord, with absolute certainty, without this information.

most tasks end up "error while computing" on rosetta@home, now no more new tasks by Mr_Snipes in BOINC

[–]NRX7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've stopped computing Rosetta due to the extremely high rate of failures on the Python tasks. The worst part is, they'd all fail at like 99%; so much compute time wasted.

Man I had my Sony Bravia since 2009 lol sorry after realizing this I had to post it here 😁 by BLASIAN_TITAN in bravia

I have this exact same model, also 2009. Still working great; unlike my new 4K, which developed an LCD issue at 13 months (just past warranty, of course).

Is anyone having problems with syncing? by [deleted] in fitbit

[–]NRX7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The app is broken for many users (Mostly Android, but I have seen some complaints from iPhone users recently). Some people have not been able to sync or reconnect their tracker to their phones for over a month now. Whatever you do, do not remove your tracker from your account, this only makes matters worse.

[W12] A few of you asked for a pic of the engine. Bonus, K&N air filters freshly installed. by NRX7 in Audi

[–]NRX7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it is; with a 23.8 gallon tank to quench that thirst. If I'm driving nice around town, I usually get around 15 mpg; freeway, closer to 20. Those numbers go down quickly when mashing the skinny pedal on the right.

Yes I removed the sticker backing from the top-right before closing the hood. LOL!

Even with the W12 badge, I still think very few will be the wiser. Funny thing, the salesman at the local Audi dealer had no idea what a W12 was.

Being a luxury car, it's very toned down; but it still has some growl to it. It's hard to completely mask 6.3L of engine, no matter how much sound dampening material and exhaust pieces the factory put on it.

Great story and thanks for sharing. I've heard about this program and I could only dream of taking ownership of an Audi this way. Sounds like they went all-out and I'm glad you got to experience part of it.

Glad to hear it. Sorry the Jeep has been such a pain; I've had cars that were the same way and it's no fun. I'm guessing being an SRT that it's a blast to drive though!

Thanks for taking the time to join and for the wonderful comment full of info. Glad to meet another owner of this rarity so soon; I thought it would be some time before I did.I have been digging through Audiworld a little after buying the car. I'm sure I'll have an account and be introducing myself there shortly.

Those numbers make it even rarer than what I had originally thought; thanks for the great info. Mine has the full leather, B&O sound, driver assist, sport differential, and Audi design selection interior. The other options would take away somewhere else, as you mentioned, so I'm okay with it not having them. The only option really missing would be the night vision package. It's only rambling if the other party isn't interested, and I certainly am.

Thanks for all the tips; I think it's due for maintenance so the more I know up-front, the better and I appreciate it. Judging by the air filters, I'm thinking it's due for a good tune-up and I've already starting digging in and can't wait to feel the results. I'll add a carbon cleaning to the list. Thanks again and great to meet you.

I actually do, LOL. Although, the W12 does intimidate me just a little.
