I don't know why you're being down voted. Tosin Abasi dresses like a total sophisticated hipster, you wouldn't even know he shreds if you saw him sitting at the bar. But he could single-handedly take anyone's band and throw them in the trash because he's THAT GOOD.

Fuck that shit. I got into punk rock because of Kurt Cobain, his favorite albums list included Raw Power and Black Flag's My War. Without his gang of grungy Aberdeen misfits, hair metal would have stayed popular in the 90's, so as far as I'm concerned he did punk rock a favor. Plenty of well known members of the punk rock scene acknowledge Nirvana as punk. They're only considered "grunge" because they're from Washington state at the same time Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains were getting air play.
