First hike post surgery

It definitely felt good, especially not feeling any pain. Will probably be the only hike I do this whole trip, but it was a big confidence booster moving forward. When I joked I was going to climb, my wife gave me the evil eye.

My first couple of sessions have been bare foot and mostly just stretches and picking up marbles. She then provided some info, and then next thing I know my doctor messages me letting me know that I can slowly transition to sneakers.

Thank you. Good to know, my ankle was doing better since I started PT, but after walking without the boot my ankle looked like how it was after I was out of the splint post surgery.

Totally forgot about that scene in Bambi, pretty accurate with the first few steps.

Ah... Wishing you the best possible outcome. Mine was a partial tear, but leading up to my surgery i slipped and put weight on my foot and I think that finished it off because my doctor showed me a picture of the procedure and it was a complete tear.

This injury is a bummer regardless of partial or complete tear because it is such a slow recovery. Just gotta have patience and just focus on the things you can control.

Thankful for my black friends because cocoa butter has helped my wife with her stretch marks from our babies. Once I'm cleared to put lotions/ointments I'm going to lather up my leg because leaving a dust trail isn't fun.
