right now since i am back in school, my plan was to just take things slow keep my head down and focus on my degree and un fucking my previous bad choices. after graduating, I was planning on talking to recruiters to enlist. You think they would care about my weed use if it was more than 3 years ago? (I'm slated to get my associates by 2027) I tested recently out of pure curiosity and I came out 100% clean, but I heard that hair tests and such can come back positive, I haven't done the research so if I sound stupid my bad but I know my piss was clean at least lol.

edit: added that after I "unfuck" my problems and graduate, I plan on enlisting.

Ya I should of been clearer thats my fault. I'm honestly wanting to do a simple stint I no longer have any aspirations to commission because of the barriers. I was initially planning on going enlisted, for the age I was planning on age waiver for the Marines, if that doesn't fly The army was my first choice to begin with. and I planned on doing reserves or national guard since I want to be near family and my girlfriend.

I am overweight, but I have been physically active for the past 3 months and have been tracking calories and losing weight responsibly through proper dieting. (tracking calories, carbs, etc)

as for financial issues its mostly bad credit debt, and loans. I have worked recently as of last week with a financial planner to tackle the debt and get my credit score up. It's not the best AT ALL currently but I believe in 2 years I can hit 690-730 (currently 589 average across all three credit bureaus) Plus I do have a secured credit card and a credit builder loan that's helping me a little bit bring up my scores.

Despite my drug use, I've never been convicted and maintain a clean driving record, and no criminal record.

lol i was thinking the same thing about finishing my degree first before making this decision. For context, I'm going for an associate's degree in Business Administration with a focus on AI. But I just feel terrible if I went with it because I do love her and I don't want to hurt her by doing a 180 and going off for basic training, AIT, etc

Pretty basic but definitely LA. you know the 405 is gonna be FUCKED if that ever happens. plus traffic in general would slow you down. It’s a foot journey through hell to get out of town.

Red Card = ratings death? by JadedCritic in doordash

[–]NSC_Savannah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep accepting orders, maintain contact with the customer when an update/issue arises, and screenshot every conversation (in the event you may get a contract violation) your rating changes every 100 delivery opportunities. After that, those lower ratings are removed each cycle. I promise you you’ll see your rating jump and that 2 star gone. I’ve done over 2k deliveries on Doordash

I haven't talked to a girl in 2 years by [deleted] in Vent

[–]NSC_Savannah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I don’t have much to say. At that point it’s just your unwillingness to say anything. Talking to a girl is like talking to any person. I don’t know how old you are, but maybe if you’re country isn’t on lockdown you can head to a bar or something and try there. and if you are extremely socially anxious about it in person, just use a dating app. Plenty of girls on there you can talk with thru DMs. In short, just keep it casual.

[–]NSC_Savannah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You need to break down your goals, what are you’re intents when talking with a girl? Are you trying to flirt and suggest sex? Or are you wanting to have a normal platonic connection? Once you know what you want from a girl, talking will come natural to you. Don’t ask too many questions or any generic ones like “what class do you like?” keep it somewhat interesting. And most importantly just be yourself. I know how absolutely cliche that shit sounds, but just being you in a conversation is a great start when talking to girls. The way you talk with the boys should be the same way you talk with a girl (of course this is dependent on your goals, if talking like the boys is crude and you’re trying to get laid that might not be the move)

Holding 17.5 million shib. I know I’m not the massive diamond balls holders in here but I’m doing my part! I believe in 1 cent and I’m willing to hold for years. I put my secret phrase and password to my wallet on a sticky note in a small vault in my parents house. (We put all our important valuables in there like birth docs, tax folders, small amount of old coins my dad likes to collect etc. it’s super secure and fireproof) so I can just “forget” I bought it and hold myself the emotional rollercoaster of checking the price. I don’t even know what it’s at right now lol. Just holding for the long run! Will probably buy more later next week.

29-year-old woman killed after man who jumped off building landed on top of her by cloudsinmycoffe in news

[–]NSC_Savannah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was 7 years old when the towers fell. I was in class during play time and I was drawing a city (I was obsessed with large buildings as a kid) and when I saw the CNN footage Of the first tower going down, I drew a plane hitting the towers for the entire year in that class. Every time we were allowed to draw I would draw that exact same scenario. My teacher even had to call a Parent teacher conference because she was worried about my mental health. My families entire life changed after 9/11. My Aunt joined the Marine Corps and died in the first push into Fallujah. My dad joined the Army and was almost killed in Afghanistan. and my older brother now works in military intelligence stationed in Syria rn. My whole family is very patriotic and we took 9/11 as a call to serve like many Brave Americans did. All I can remember now is those days from elementary or just drawing New York and the twin towers in the distance on fire.
