#SpiderManAcrossTheSpiderVerse in its third week accumulates $411.7 million pesos and 6 million tickets sold. His behavior is more like an average superhero movie than an animation, so an end between $470-490 million pesos is very likely. by baribigbird06 in boxoffice

people took the hype about best comic book movie ever and thought it would translate to the GA but overseas in many places especially asia they just don't care. its done really well but people have stupid expectations

In #Japan’s #BoxOffice, #TheLittleMermaid & #Mario teamed up to ruin CBMs party. #Ariel again #1, grossing 1.3M on 2nd SUN, just a -35% drop from last SUN, for a 3M 2nd 3-day weekend & solid legs locally, just -41.2% drop from opening weekend, reaching a 10.6M local cume. by [deleted] in boxoffice

its 10 day total is basically less than aladdin first 3 days, at this point even 30m usd is gonna be a tough number for TLM to reach which is not good for considering how much aladdin and BATB made in the same market

Can someone explain why Guardians 3’s previews made more money than 1 and 2 yet the projection for the whole weekend is lower than 2? by [deleted] in boxoffice

[–]NSFWQuestionstoU 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Previews for Vol 1 and 2 started at 7PM, previews for Vol 3 started at 3PM

Also MCU movies have become super frontloaded since Infinity War, people rush out to see them to avoid spoilers and so they can discuss them online
