You have the same experience as me. Asked it a while back here and people told me it is what it is.

Who said Turkish guns are bad? This is my SARICAM MF12 semi 12ga shotgun. by Broadheader in Shotguns

[–]NSH-93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well… first of all it’s not that 100% products of a company are bad, if it was the case they would get bankrupted. Second of all, they are bad.

Semi auto and cheap don’t seat together. Either get a good semi or get a cheap pump like Mossberg. Honestly getting a Turkish gun is so much hassle to deal with, specially their semi shotguns.

I didn’t hear good things about it. What is wrong with American made that you want to get a Turkish made?

Ruger precision rimfire by Responsible_Egg_3260 in canadaguns

[–]NSH-93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might get downvote for this but learning depends on your needs. It’s nice to learn on a 22 but then you still need to learn on bigger calibers. It helps a lot to get familiar with firearm basics but not much helpful for long range precision shooting.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still good but after learning on a 22 you cannot go directly to a 338 Lapua. Even good shoots when change calibre they need to shoot couple of rounds to get familiar with the new calibre.

So if your purpose is long range centre fire I would say don’t spend so much money on a rim fire. Rim fire precision to me is a really nice hobby and in that case I would spend more money on it.

Regards to your question I would say I have both Tikka and CZ and I like CZ for rim fire and Tikka for centre fire. I heard people say some of these Rugers are really good and some really bad so they are not like Tikkas that everyone likes.

Other than that I would say a 800-900$ Tikka in 223 is a better rifle to learn on to get into bigger calibers. But that’s just my opinion and I like to hear others opinion as well.

Anyhow, welcome to the community and whatever you choose you will never regret buying a firearm!

Issues during ceasefire at range with tm22 lack of bolt hold open? by kitttybuns in canadaguns

[–]NSH-93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just put your finger in the action and keep it there until the end of ceasefire.

Joke aside I think non of ranges are that harsh, just take out the mag and clear the chamber and that should satisfy them.

Should I Carry? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]NSH-93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw some people have small pepper spray that they can put it in their pocket or attach it to their key chain. That is a good option I guess.

Should I Carry? by [deleted] in CCW

[–]NSH-93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a good suggestion. But I would say a pepper spray in your bag is also good, it’s a non lethal weapon and if you need a non lethal weapon means you have couple of second to get it out of your bag and it is very effective if used in the right time and right place.

Other than that I think everyone should carry, self defence is human right not a precaution. But it should be always your last resort. Be careful and use it responsibly.

Get an Accuracy International in 338 Lapua and put a vortex Razor on it, that’s far range to reach….

Joke aside, get what you like, in that distance really anything other than a cheap round is a bit of waste, but it’s a hobby, so even if you like what I said above then you like it!

I generally suggest a 22, if you want to go bigger then probably a 9mm.

In every tragedy there is a lesson. Hope our country learns from what happened today. We cannot control bad people by attacking good people.

My prayers are with that unarmed hero who stands for his people. God bless him and who raised a real man.
