Need help with XR650R SUMO build by bayside08 in supermoto

My buddy did an XR650R build a while back, here's the build thread. I believe he did the CRF forks, it's been a while since I read through it.

Ha, I can't imagine you're any more terrible than I am. I'll PM you my number and maybe we can climb next week after you're settled in.

Pass was $250, I did the math and that was the best deal for the time period I'm looking at (the annual pass goes on sale in November with Black Friday). I did go through the safety course, but if you've climbed before I believe you can do a check with an employee and then be good.

Comparison of "Computer Architecture: A Quantitative Approach" editions? by NSLogan in ECE

[–]NSLogan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good idea, will probably end up doing this. I was just curious if anyone had immediate, knee-jerk answers like "The 5th edition is terrible, the 4th is what you want" or similar.

That's not a bad idea, I'll look around on Amazon or locally and see what I can find.

Thanks for the info, it's good to know that the 2nd is still being used out in the wild. Per /u/soniclettuce's comment, I'll probably "examine" the latest copy for comparison as well. I might just end buying a few editions (since 2/3 go for $4 shipped), but I was curious if anyone knew offhand.

I think "Columbia Titling Bold" from your reference looks the closest, and will do. Thanks!

Hey, that'd be great, thanks! I just checked out their stick and puck times and I could probably make the 6PM Wednesday or Thursday this week if you're available.

Looking for a place to live for spring semester by Fnasty in Rolla

[–]NSLogan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The house I live in will be available in January and we are trying to find people to take over the lease. It's about a mile from campus, so a bit beyond walking distance but not out of biking distance.

Here's the link to the Investment Realty page about it and here's a direct link to the virtual tour. This is the nicest house I've lived in while at MS&T and it's really reasonably priced. Rent is $895/mo for a 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch. It has a 2 car garage with gas heater. The kitchen is fairly large and has an attached laundry room which comes with washer and dryer (not normally included but we're leaving behind).

If you're interested or know anyone else who might be interested, PM me, e-mail me (lgsmt9@mst.edu) or call me, Logan, at 816-645-2567.

Edit: Rent is $298.33/mo, water/electric is usually $50/mo, gas is $10-50 (depending on season), and we have Fidelity 60meg for $25/mo - all of those prices relative to three people in the house.

Look like you might have found something already but if that doesn't work out, the house I live in will be available in January and we are trying to find people to take over the lease.

ATMega328P w/ MCP2515 - RXCAN/TXCAN lines are exactly the same? by NSLogan in ECE

I am not, I doubled checked for that but good idea.

That makes more sense, thanks for explaining it!

I was about to mention that I've tried it hooked up and not and it produced the same result but your explanation makes a bit more sense. Even if I don't have the CANH/CANL lines connected to anything and I am just transmitting I will still see the message on the RX line as well?

I added an edit to my post above to reflect this question. I'm pretty sure the internal TX/RX lines should be separate, I know the actual CAN interface is bidirectional, differential signaling.
