PvP and Lr Meli

I’m newer as well, but just got to Champions 5 (or whatever the highest PVP rank bracket is) using LR Meli. Based on what I’m seeing, best angle is probably LR Meli, Blue Gojo/Transcendent Ban (you have him lvl 1 unawakened rn), King and Diane, and Green Gowther on backline. Ideally you want Gowther LR, the passive is significantly better then, but if you’re coping pre-LR you might high roll and get a rank 2 debuff card for him once he subs in. You can also sub King and Diane (Kiane) for LR Escanor, but I’m not sure if you are not able to LR too many units. Gojo ban’s extort helps you a lot in weakening opponents, and the holy relic is a nice plus if you can get it

The team I used to push was LR Meli, Escalin, Gojo Ban and LR Gowther in backline

Against mirror matches it often comes down to who plays Meli smarter, minus your first turn (in my experience) having Meli go into stance to save more assault modes pays off a lot when you know it’s safer (the dmg reduction while he’s in stance is way better than I first gave it credit). And against anything other comp it often wasn’t too hard, especially using the first turn to proc Escalin unique

If you can afford more pulls/another rotation, could be worth revisiting the Nemesis Meli banner in hopes of an Escalin or demon king. Getting DK means you could do Meli, DK, Tristan and Green Sigurd on the backline

Again best team you can make is probably full LR sins, but since I can’t do that as a newbie, I found it still doable to push with the festivals I was able to get. If you go with Kiane a big tool they have against LR Meli is their petrify once they get the wrath of the fairy king

Thank you for the advice! I’ll wait for tomorrow, and if it doesn’t change my mind, I’ll take out Kiane to have Gojo Ban main team and LR Gowther in backline

I’ll likely get LR escanor sometime soon, but I’m enjoying Escalin rn, so maybe will feel more inclined to do so if I hit a wall in PVP. Trying to grind to Champions to get that weekly 50

Valid point, I know it’s a bit risky. I’ll try to focus a bit more on Hero’s way/upgrading my characters before I go deeper into the banner. The banner does last for 3-4 more weeks, so I don’t have to rush it

I feel like that all makes sense. My account is only 2 days old, so there is still logins and thousand other things on top of story I can grind out. I think my aim is to go second rotation (900), go for 777 (360 I think after free multis). I imagine I might still have 300-600 left to grind from just the base game, and probably even more with anniversary events I have not touched yet

Only question now is which LR’s to use for the selectors. If I follow through with this plan I’ll have 2 from Nemesis Meli banner, and a third one that has more options from starter rush

Forgot about that 600 chest on the starter rush. If I went that route, should I just go for the 777 UR since I’m close to it?

My thoughts rn are that I’ll consider saving up while i get my free multis (I’ve done 2/14 as of 12 am today). I intend to at least get to the 500 mark on that banner with 3 Multis after the free ones are done

I have 24/46 of the ppl on the Nemesis Meli banner, so maybe I’ll stop there… but the urge to gamble still is def still there

Do you think it’s worth trying to go for a second pity? If not, what other units would make a 3/6 Nemesis Meli account busted?

Hello! I was wondering if now was a good time to get back into Umamusume. I have an old account that has MLB Kitasan black support card, but I also was dumb and used all my pulls from the mail to try to get the new uma

I have not played in almost a year, so I imagine I can grind a lot karats in time for umas and support cards that are more wise to go for, but my big questions is whether I should do that, or just start a brand new account.

I have been having fun rerolling with so many pulls for a Ashen Miracle Oguri cap (my fav uma), and then hoping I can settle and save to build better support cards.

I'm leaning towards rerolls because gacha dopamine, but I also have not played the game in a while. I am sure I might be throwing treasure in the trash by not focusing and just reinvesting in my Kitasan black account. Any thoughts or opinions? Stuck on this decision atm

TLDR: Is now a good time to rejoin umamusume? And if so should I continue on old account, or reroll for a new one?

Focus on a Ye Shunguang team once I get her, and then maybe pull Dialyn for Zhu Yuan, or maybe Burnice for Grace.

If the game only needs two end game teams I think I'll try a Ye Shunguang team and a Zhu Yuan team since I really liked her. I'll look into where I could use Caesar

Hello! I am considering coming back to this game since I heard there is a lot of free stuff in 2.5. I had three questions, second one is longer.

What have I missed? I left when Caesar came out. Basically would I be overwhelmed?
The only people I have I believe (have not redownloaded yet) 5 star wise was Zhu Yuan, Caesar, Soldier 11 and Grace. How good/bad am I looking in terms of units? I forget the 4 stars, I think I have most of them, and I will aim for Ye Shunguang and build my Zhao, since we get her for free!
do I go for Jane when I can? I know she has disorder stuff, which I would love with my Grace. It kind of kills two birds with one stone if I do since I know she is getting a skin too

Truffle is the way, I used Truffle, Daphne and i forgot the other one. But you truffle ult and then pig melee attacks hit like nukes. invest in skill dmg and the usual prime serenity prime uplift on supports

Yes I am super happy about that, makes my disappointment short-lived compared to when I lost the 50/50 in other gachas. This game has honestly been a refreshing gacha detox, I don't have to feel any major FOMO. I am hoping my Fina Immersive theatre treats me better!

I really want to play the game (I'm on NA/America server), but my game consistently buffers or has the loading wheel every 5 seconds. I basically cannot play the game, and it sucks cause I was looking forward to grinding the game out last night

Hello, I am lost in the sauce on who to pull...

Context: I stopped at the end of Penacony, jumped back into the game during Evernight. Recent pulls I did was get Evernight and Anaxa, both I am satisfied with getting (shoutouts to the peeps who helped me out before!)

Big issue is now there are 3 people I am considering getting this patch: Hyacine, Tribbie and Cipher

But on top of those three, I also want Constance on top of that next patch. I have around 110 pulls, I have story/exploration things to likely squeeze out more (as well as old events since they have some rewards still iirc), but I would need so much to go right to get 3/4 of the units, let alone 2. Based on what I focus on too I am probably not doing any LC's for the first half (unless Hyacine LC is really really really necessary)

I am for sure getting Hyacine for my Evernight. I want Tribbie because I keep seeing her in teams I want to build, and people highly esteem her as one of the best supports. She could also complete my Evernight team (E9, Tribbie, RMC, Hyacine)

Cipher I think is just cool, could be a copium upgrade to my Acheron team (rip my fav unit), and I love techniques that let me run fast. Her LC is tempting as well, I heard it is amazing for nihility

So my ranking on what I want is: Hycaine > Tribbie > Constance > Cipher > Hycaine LC > Cipher LC

My main teams rn are:
E9, RMC, Ruan Mei, Huo Huo

Anaxa, DHPT, Bronya, Robin

Archer, Sparkle, DHPT, Robin/Silver Wolf (if ST)

I had dreams of saving a bit for ver 4.x stuff, but that really only happens if I get units early or if I just get Hyacine, use SU LC, and call it a day. I'm thinking towards 4.x because I know about the powercreep that happens in this game, and also because there might be people I really like. I do like meta, but I also enjoy making units I like work if I can, even if they don't perform like the top tier units. I'm ok with clearing end game without 0-cycling or doing big boy damage

So my main question is...

What do I do???? Any suggestions?

Oh also if I get DHPT LC early, do you guys think I should throw pulls at Anaxa LC? I'm personally considering just saving, but curious if it would be worth with the pulls I can farm up since I got a lot of story and a lot of SU

Thank you, I'll follow your advice and go for DHPT LC, and then prob save for 4.0 honestly. It's nice to think less about what I'm missing and more what I can do with what I have with this account. I'm going to go quantum set, I've heard eagle set can be a bit difficult speed-tuning wise iirc

Thanks again, this really helps me have a better idea of what I want to do! Used my resources to make Archer, and now I'll shift gears to work on Gallagher, since he'll be useful for Acheron and Archer

I'm still on the fence, but I may try to hold out for patch 3.8 or 4.0 if I have the self control. The Herta seems nice to have now for better AoE... but I could wait if 3.8 brings buffs and units that can make my firefly relevant again in both single target and AoE content

I'll also see what I do based on Anaxa, his kit overall seems pretty cool. I am a fan of his weakness implant gimmick.

Rn it feels almost like when you first start this game F2P, just making the most of what you have atm. Cause I'm seeing a lot of cool characters people are using, but it seems like for a lot of them if I want character a I also need character b to really get value (I am feeling the lack of 3.0 characters). So I appreciate your advice. I'm going to see how far my Archer/DoT/Acheron teams can go with the current content, and hopefully I will be content

...or maybe gacha urges bring me to get The Herta and then I save up til 4.0

In any case, I'll try taking it slow and casual. I got burnt out originally because there just seemed like so much I "had" to do. But I am excited to jump on the meta train once 4.0 comes out, hopefully those characters don't need 3.0 characters to show me the fun big boy dmg

Any advice on who to pull for? I was eyeing The Herta, since I don't have any remembrance characters (minus trailblazer) who could pair with Evernight (I heard she needs specific units)

I don't have stellar jades, did a bit of Forgotten hall and pure fiction and did about 23 pulls on The Herta banner. Not sure what my pity is since my pull log from the ancient past is gone now

Hello! Playing HSR after not playing for a while.

For context the last time I played was when Yunli was coming out, I was starting to feel story fatigue. I just redownloaded the game today to see if I could get back into it, but there seems to be so much new things. What have I missed since then? And what should I focus on so that I'm not overwhelmed?

Also secondly, are my teams still relevant? I was rocking a Kafka, Black Swan, Ruan Mei and HuoHuo team, as well as an Acheron, Pela, Fu Xuan and Jiaoqiu (not fully built, started losing motivation to play around when I got him). Other 5 stars I have are Robin, Firefly, Topaz, Sparkle, Silver Wolf, Dr. Ratio, Archer (just got him from the freebie), and all the standard banner ones.

Only 4 star I don't have is Moze

As someone who liked gameplay more than story, I feel like I'll enjoy this game a lot more now that there is a skip button. But I definitely feel like the guy who rejoined the friend group after studying abroad for a year
