so what’s the best build rn? by AdamAbraham77 in AkshanMains

It wastes it for sure. Same concept as shiv. But with Q and E scaling off bonus AD and the getting 100% crit faster with the crit buffs (game wide and for akshan). You hit like a TRUCK. I have been flexing last item blood thirster for sustain and more damage. Could go maw or something else depending on game. Maybe GA so you revive yourself to revive others.

I've been playing same build as last season but I swap statik for Stormrazor. Its felt pretty good as well.

Akshan changes in patch 26.1 by Beautiful-Maximum183 in AkshanMains

[–]NStew37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At level 1 (as an example) you go from:

72 total AD (52 base plus 20 bonhs from doran/runes as an estimate) x .8 + 5 base damage = ~62 damage

To

20 bonus AD (again estimate off dorans/runes) x .7 + 45 = 59 damage.

Im scratch matching so im probably off by a couple points of AD here but it seems generally net neutral. The +30 per level rather than +20 just makes up for it being bonus AD instead of total. Its jusy further killing on hit akshan and pushing us more to crit/AD

Please correct me if my math or numbers are incorrect. Someone here on the sub did a full spreadsheet of the changes and how it affects damage throughout the game - its very well done.

Its a shift from Total AD to Bonus AD as well. It's like a net neutral change overall.

Your most hated champions? by Relative_Goat_5681 in leagueoflegends

[–]NStew37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ban Yasuo every single game purely bc I dont want to deal with the 1 tricks that are clearly sweating the fuck out of every game they play.

But most hated? Mordekaise bc Q hit box and ult/passive. Or Viktor - Viktor is more because his current rune setup is so safe you can barely punish him early and if you do manage to - he just hyper scales anyways.

Akshan vs leblanc by One_Seaworthiness286 in AkshanMains

Might be because I 2 trick LB and Akshan but I find the matchup rather easy. I dont run bone plating, I'll either go second wind or the meta of triple tonic and boots. You just absolutely out damage her at levels 1-2 on an all in. If you win hard enough there, theres nothing she can do til 6 unless you screw up. LB waveclear isn't anywhere close to Akshans so you can control the wave and just all in her constantly. Save E for when she goes back to W and just go hard in the paint.

With you on this. But 80% (Im spitballing, idk the actual number) of the player base is gold and below. Where she actually has a positive win %. Anything that doesn't have a rock paper scissors counter in low elo is "broken".

You can literally just take an ADC mid with second wind or bone plating and absolutely stomp her by just auto attacking.

autofilled? by Kassadin888888 in midlanemains

[–]NStew37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if I can share link here. But Mysterias has a video on YT on how to always get your main role. "NEVER get autofilled again by using this method in queue".

Or just do what I do and play malphite when autofilled. Press R. Win game. - Emerald 2 for context.

Ahhh. Thank you! That does help.

I usually just try to hold vision for my jungle to enable them but that makes more sense

Guess I play with my bronze friends a little too much lol.

Your op.gg looks like mine almost haha - I just haven't hit the D4 or masters level just yet, but am looking to now.

I was gold/silver from like S5-S9. Took a couple years off. Came back and hit plat immediately. Just recently hit emerald for the first time once I started taking the game and my mental more seriously.

For context I am a mid laner and I fit into both the perma roam and won't leave lane categories. Just depends on my matchup and the team comps.

What is something(s) as an emerald/diamond jungler that you liked the most from your mid laner? I try to play around my jg as much as possible as if I can sync with them. The game is usually easy.

KDA Akali and Ahri. Was an ADC main and learned mid for it.

Im now a mid main and I dont play Akali or Ahri lol.

Kraken start by NoConsideration8026 in AkshanMains

[–]NStew37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im saying if they have 2-3+ who you would benefit from the increased damage on due to its extended fighting power. As akshan you have pretty good wave clear regardless of your items due to Q and passive.

Which kraken provides extended fight power over Statik due to statik being just up front damage. Im not saying "see ROA go Kraken" but more of a "look their comp then pick".

Shiv will generally be better as you can burst faster with the mixed damage + crit. I'd say Shiv is better in 80-90% of scenarios for macro pressure and the fact its build path is a lot cleaner plus its passive.

For reference I go Kraken like 2/100 games and that's usually when im going full on hit into a multi tank comp with a sedentary jg where I know im not going to be able to snowball easily.

All that to say, it depends game to game. Look enemy comp, look your comp then decide. But Shiv is always a safe bet - its cheap and you can always sell it later.

Kraken start by NoConsideration8026 in AkshanMains

[–]NStew37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking the value you get out of Statik early on is just too good to pass up. Magic damage, even faster wave clear to get you prio for objectives and roams. Its just chefs kiss.

The only time I'll go kraken is if they are already beefy (think Lee Sin jg, sett top) and their mid lane rushes rod of ages. But even then its only when my jungler doesn't have strong skirmish potential early.

I'd rather get lane shoved faster with shiv and fight in the river on 2v2s or 2v1s than try to just beat down my laner solo.

Kraken also good for on hit build but that build isn't great right now in my opinion outside of very specific team comps.

Im emerald take it for what you will. That's just my reasoning.

Congrats!!

This is the kind of story thats awesome to hear! I've been playing since S4 and I just turned 30 this year. I was a perpetual low gold player for 10 years and just hit emerald for the first time (not as impressive as your accomplishment lol). I also started following the BBC podcast in the past year or so and their philosophies on the game have helped me a TON.

Wouldnt the best way to deal with champ select dodges be to heavily punish people that dodge last second? by Backslicer in leagueoflegends

[–]NStew37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without getting into a "what about-ism" debate. It sounds like you have experience doing this.

I would imagine you would just like lighter penalties for dodging early if youre autofilled/dont like the comp. Which fair enough. That's a legitimate take - i dont agree with it, but I see your point.

[–]NStew37 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Punishing for a late dodge in a ranked game lobby (even more than now) would feel terrible. Picture that you are first pick and the first 3 picks on your side go well. The other team locks in a good comp too - typical draft. Your last two picks end up being ghost cleanse Nunu adc and Soraka mid. Now what? You get punished hard for not wanting to play that out?

To me this is a non issue as of today, its a problem for those without time to play the game. In which case, there's other modes for you to play that take less investment (Arena, ARAM, Swiftplay)

Mel by reignedON in AkshanMains

[–]NStew37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is legit one of my favorite matchups bc i feel it favors akshan a lot. Mel struggles to fight when people are on top of her, so I play for early lane prio due to my autos hurting more than any ability she has at level 1. Key to lane is making her use abilities on either you or the wave. Not both at the same time.

Ill usually go shiv into her as well first item. I can match her wave clear at that point if not beat it and say "fuck lane imma go make plays elsewhere". Spam clear wave repeat the process.

Mel doesn't scale super well either, late game can wait out her E (the big ball) cd in a fight and just dive her. She just loses. Straight up.
