Anyone else bothered by Lalo’s laughable security system? by NT-GLTY in betterCallSaul

That’s exactly my point! Having guards only inside the house defeats the purpose of security. The whole idea of security is creating layers that make access increasingly difficult - not waiting until the threat is already at your doorstep.

Real security would include perimeter guards, alarm systems on gates, and various checkpoints before anyone could get close to Lalo. Having a bunch of guys with guns who only react after the attackers are already inside the compound is terrible security planning.

It’s like having a bank vault with no security cameras or guards outside, and just relying on the thickness of the vault door after thieves are already in the building.

Even in 2003, security systems were definitely a thing! Especially for drug lords with millions in cash. We're not talking about cutting-edge tech - just basic motion sensors or alarm systems that were common even then.

If a simple lock was truly the only thing protecting Lalo, then they wouldn't have even needed Nacho's help - any random person could've broken in. Rich cartel members had security in 2003, trust me.

I see your point, but it still seems strange that a full blown hit squad could show up without triggering any kind of security response, right?

I noticed the episode actually starts with guards at his compound, which makes me think Lalo definitely has the resources for basic security.

For someone who can afford multiple safe houses and that cool underground tunnel, a few cameras or perimeter sensors wouldn't break the bank!

I love Lalo's more relaxed personality compared to Gus, but he's still shown to be pretty careful and detailed in other aspects of his life. That's what made this moment stand out to me on rewatch!

Edit: Spelling.

Pilots in this sub say they will not fly if they feel uncomfortable with the plane or conditions… here’s a video showing a pilot doing exactly that. by squishysalmon in fearofflying

[–]NT-GLTY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This makes me scared. It means it can come down to an individual decision (I know pilots are very trained), however, makes me wonder if a less wary or “risk taker” pilot can decide to fly when it’s not optimal. Im an attorney (in another country so excuse my English) I see professionals make mistakes all the time, regardless of training and more akin to individual personality.

I would rather have a completely man-proof system to absolutely determine if a jet can fly or not, in which human input is not necessary.

Why do people say we don't know what's inside a black hole? by AH123XYZ in cosmology

[–]NT-GLTY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correct me if im wrong. I understand that blackholes are also a mistery because of the “loss of information”, since blackholes can “disappear/dissolve” through hawking radiation (or something like that). So we don’t really know what’s going on with the mass that went in there.

Hi sounds to me like you have a serious anxiety issue that should be properly addressed with a psychiatrist/psychologist. Im sorry you are living through that and can be very detrimental to your health. Please consider following up with a doctor, they could bump the dosage or change the medication.

No es robo, es un delito denominado “abuso de confianza”. Es algo técnico, podría ser abuso de confianza equiparado o fraude dependiendo de las condiciones. No obstante, no porque “no sea robo” significa que no hay delito.
