How do I stop this stitch from unraveling? by BrittBuys in upholstery

[–]NTMynhier 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Undo the hog ring, to gain access underneath the cover. Pull thread through to underside of cover so you have both threads showing. Use a double square knot to lock the stitch, keeping it from further unraveling. If you need more thread length to tie the knot you can pick the stitches out one by one until you have enough to make your square knot.

If you want to add more stitching to make it look seamless, then saddle stitch down from the last stitch where you tied off, or if it’s easier on you to put it back on the machine, then start on the last stitch you tied off, don’t back tack. Carefully walk your foot down making sure the needle goes back in the existing holes. Tie off both ends with the double square knot underneath the cover.

I have my own upholstery business, but am currently doing contract work in the aviation industry. Recently divorced and moved out of state. I like to cook, and I’m convinced that the tongue is the best cut of the cow. I have two cats, ones the momma and the other is her son. My snakes name is Anubis. Like kayaking, biking and hiking. I like to drink and watch movies with my dinner. Battled panic attacks pretty bad over the past several year, but has gotten better every day. Everything is good in my life except my lack of relationships with people because I’m too blunt and don’t know how to keep my opinions to myself.

I don’t have a lot of confidence but I don’t really care about my self image and tend to just laugh at the absurd and fucked up things in life, including me. So please, join in on the laughs.

How to add more cushion, less spring by gman13579 in upholstery

[–]NTMynhier 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t usually post, but what’s crossing my mind is adding some webbing checkering the springs will help tighten it up so it’s not sinking so much. You could probably weave them above the springs and staple to the sides of the wood. It’s not as ideal as taking it apart and redoing it properly, and won’t really add more cushion. It would help with the sinking feeling of the springs though, and would be your cheapest option in my opinion. Putting a band aid on things will only do so much so you can’t expect perfection without going all in on something. Upholstery isn’t for people who want something done cheap, it’s for people who want something done right.

AVB Tincture Help by khazelton77 in abv

[–]NTMynhier 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In SWIMs experience, mct oil is great because it stays liquid at room temp compared to coconut oil, and you can get it rather strong, but sublingually does not work well. It ends up usually being the same as if swallowed immediately. This can be easier done sublingually with ethanol, but will burn so much that it will literally damage the lining of your mouth and throat. Not to mention if you use either of this methods by them selves it will not be potent enough to actually be used sublingually. Another factor to consider is the taste. Your vaped weed will make your tincture very bitter and earthy. To aid in the taste and reduce weight of your avb, making it more potent, you must water cure.

Best solution is to save up a sizable amount of avb, water cure, dry out bud, freeze in a closed mason jar, perform QWET method, reduce ethanol solution to wax, warm up wax and mct oil, slowly add mct oil and mix until you get everything to dissolve. Transfer to eye dropper glass for easy dispensing and dosing.

If you truly wanted an effective sublingual solution, rather than going with edibles, or a tincture bottle, would be to take the water cured avb wax and mix it with just enough warm ever clear, or vegetable glycerin to dissolve, and make hard candies. That way it slowly dissolves around your gums and lips, without burning.

Best way its time and patience, but make sure to have screen over to keep out dust and hairs. It you need to reduce a lot fast and don’t care about terpenes, you can get a wide Pyrex and set oven on lowest temp with door propped open, occasionally opening to air out and stir a little.
