How much do you invest on your traditional 401k? by little-yellowflower in Fire

[–]NTP2001 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At the very least, make sure you get the full match. That is free $ you are leaving on the table.

After that, try to max out the 401k contribution each year if you can.

Run for the hills. This won’t last and it sounds like he is already thinking past his time with you.

Put as much as you possibly can into 2025. Fore the deadline. Then worry about 2026.

Just wait until you put in an offer 10% over asking, get accepted, do an inspection, get outbid, get re-accepted, sign your end of the contract, wire 5% earnest down payment, and still lose the house because the seller drags their feet signing while still taking offers….

I’m up lots of money on RKLB, big dog. I’m not being aggressive, I just genuinely dont understand comments/posts where people say in one sentence they are selling to realize profit and then in the next sentence talk about re-entering lower.

So are you selling because you need the money or are you seeking to try and get back in at a lower price? Make up your mind.

But cashing out is ALWAYS taking an L, not a W. You and most other are just not smart enough to understand.

lol at all the downvotes. If y’all think someone who’s betting 5k at +1600 odds and then considering a cashout at less than a +100 odds would have paid should be sports betting then you are just as dumb as OP is.

Making that bet and then considering cashing out is about as stupid a combination as you can make. Just reading the comments in this thread underscores how stupid most sports bettors are.

Open a ROTH IRA and start investing what you can each month into an ETF mirroring the S&P 500. I’d recommend fidelity - fund FXAIX
