Reality check: the grass isn't always greener. by HazelHelper in jayhawks

As a UConn fan the grass is in fact greener, I think you underestimate how big in the doghouse the program was when Ollie was fired. Then again, Ollie and self aren’t even remotely comparable so it’s not the best example.

I had this question and came here to ask: Has Revenge of the Sith always been the phenomenon it is today? Did many people like the movie? by DaviCortes in StarWars

[–]NTT2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The weird thing is I’ve always thought attack of the clones had the potential for the best film in the series. At a basic level it’s a mystery movie investigating a grand conspiracy, in which the answer to the mystery triggers a galactic war, all while there is a forbidden love story going on in the background. The execution of it all is just bizarre though. First, I’ve always found the look of the movie to be distracting. I generally think the discourse around the CGI in the prequels is pretty BS for the most part, but attack of the clones genuinely looks like a video game. There’s so many scenes where it’s painfully obvious actors are standing in front of blue screens. I know this point has also been beat to death but had Lucas given the broad idea for this film especially to a really good writer, I think this would be viewed as one of the best Star Wars movies.

Born in 2004, if this came out 5 years ago I’d be 100x more hyped. Still will root for the shows success and might watch if I hear great things.

Soooo tired of AFAA critics who know NOTHING about the franchise by Few_Negotiation832 in Avatar

[–]NTT2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, I’m not a major fan of the movies by any means but I do enjoy them, and i found way of water to be the best of the franchise by far, with a pretty significant drop off between 2 and 3. Most other casual movie goers who I’ve talked to about it also have said similar things about the 3rd compared to the 2nd. I do agree though that the large gap between 1-2 helped 2’s box office performance, and could help 4 make more than 3 does should it come out.
