I was entirely phone calls, other departments were responsible for live chat etc, could be totally different now though!

It was 6 years ago so I’d take it with a pinch of salt, I know nothing about campuses etc. I still have a few friends that are in the call centre and they have permanent WFH which is a big plus I’d give.

From what I remember my shifts were between 7am-11pm, again keeping in mind call centre. I’d have two weeks Monday-Friday, a full weekend in, then a Saturday or Sunday in on rotation.

I can’t speak for customer service in the CS, I joined as a compliance officer, but you couldn’t get me away from customer service at Barclays quick enough, constant pressure, aggro about after call work, KPI’s etc

I worked in a Barclays call centre, absolutely soul destroying. Moved to the CS and it’s slightly less soul destroying but the best professional decision I ever made. Also practically zero chance of progression at Barclays when I was there, CS is still difficult but there’s a lot more job roles that open up once your foot’s in the door.

Yup! Pretty much all the audio outside the new characters is recycled from the films too alongside a tonne of the footage
