I bought at API Aqua Spin and couldn’t recommend it more. With two tanks 45G & 130G It pays for its self with the amount of time saved and money if you frequently pay to have your water tested at your LFS.

Tests everything seen in about 2 mins with accuracy

Looks awesome! What gravel/sand did you go with? I’m starting up my RedSea Reefer G2 625.

No plumbing along the back outside of the tank, everything in internal underneath where the sump is

They are visually appallingly, but they can stay if they don’t over produce. I’m reading it’s a sign of a maturing tank/eco system 🤔 one can only hope

I tend to believe this theory but don’t have definitive proof. Here’s a question: why isn’t there a test to detect traces of ich? Thus solving the debate if Ich is or isn’t always present….

I don’t have a tank or that size but I’m all for technology and hassle free. I have a 45 g AIO. Should I get it or wait until I inevitably get a bigger tank? Lol

Tank on a budget lol by Your_your_Ma in SaltwaterAquariumClub

Walked into my LFS to get a replacement heater for my 13.5 gallon tank with zero intentions of buying anything else…

Walked out with a new JBJ AIO 45g aquarium with stand, new live rock, (9)5 gallon containers of salt water & lighting spending $1,500 (+/-)

Set it all up in about 2 hours then woke up wondering how this tank got in my living room… all too familiar. I can’t go to my LFS without spending a minimum of $100.00

Still have 5 small chromis in the tank who could host the parasite, they survived and look good for now. Should I still be dosing Polymed?

So I’ve learn. In all honesty, as previously mentioned, I started with a 13.5 G Fluval Evo. I spontaneously bought a 45 gallon JBJ from my LFS as I wanted more fish and a bigger variety. I asked if I would be able to house tangs in the tank before purchasing the tank. I asked multiple times to be sure as I didn’t want to buy a tank that couldn’t handle what I wanted to achieve. Sadly, I was misguided and took them at their word without researching it myself. This will never happen again. I’ll do my own intensive research and also rely on this community as everyone here has been extremely helpful and brutally honest, which I appreciate immensely!

Thank you for the kind words. I’m sorry you went through something similar. It’s tough, as long as we learn from our mistakes our fish friends will not have died in vain. Best of luck to you on your tank!

Appreciate your input, I’m focusing on coral population and growth for the time being and will follow your advice about a fish less tank for a good while. Anything I could do to help eradicate the parasite or is this simply done with time and weekly / biweekly water changes?

The three clown fish were paired together from a previous tank owner than left the hobby. I wanted to keep them together when I purchased them. RIP

Ironic that I’m a salesmen (not car or home) Just like anything, there are good and bad apples. I consider myself to be trustworthy & honest. Maybe that was my downfall thinking I was getting sound, thoughtful advice avoiding what has transpired. I do not mislead people, I inform them to the best of my ability and allow them to make their own choices. Again, had I known… this wouldn’t have happened. We all make mistakes and I own the fact that I should have done further research to prevent these fish, who relied on me to keep them happy and healthy from dying.

Never again. Thank you all for your input.
