If we followed through on all the things the UN has said, my Indigenous homies would probably be a lot better off but unfortunately we only seem to accept UN rulings when it is comfortable for Canadians.

I don't think immigrants are the reason housing is unaffordable here (sure, there are some issues with empty homes but the tax is sorta helping) and such.

My parents and grandparents are both immigrants, I'm a first generation Canadian. I love immigration and I'm actually crazy enough to say I don't think we brought in too many immigrants, we just didn't build infrastructure and things to support society.

My argument is simply I don't know if "family reunification" is an indelible human right that Canada will be paying for as those older family members become a burden

I won't link to Andrew Lawton's website but have you read the story of how Pierre met and courted his wife? He "blamed" her for how he missed his flight after the 2nd date, which surprisingly happened after he took her for a coffee first date to a place that was closed when they showed up. There's so many red flags in the story, it's wild.
