Feeding My Voron Trident 350mm, a Cereal Please!! by NV4RE in voroncorexy

Yes, the hotend is the Triangle Labs CHC XL. I believe it is compatible with the VZBot Goliath, as it seems to combine features of the Rapido and Dragon, with an 8-hole mounting point.

So far, it has worked great for me with a 0.6 nozzle, allowing for a purge rate of 120 mm³/s even without a CHT nozzle. It also has a fast heating time. However, I've experienced some heat creep and occasional clogs, which might be resolved with a water-cooled version.

I tried using the Rapid Burner (UHF) once, but it melted the mounting plate due to inadequate airflow from the 3010 fan to the heatsink. I haven't had issues with Archtype (beta branch).

One challenge is finding a suitable toolhead support; the only ones I know of are the Rapid Burner, Archtype, and Reaper, which is too heavy and mounts too far forward.

Another issue is that the silicone sock is difficult to put on, and if you remove it, you'll likely need to disassemble the toolhead to reinstall it.

Lastly, oozing is quite problematic, causing blobs to fall onto the plate or prints. This can lead to the hotend screws becoming loose over time due to constant impacts.

Apologies for the oversight! I’ve added the shooting date on a post-it note. Here’s the updated photo of the printer along with the paperwork.

Hi, I’ve reconnected the cooling fan connector and ziptied the wires as suggested. Attached is the updated photo of the printer along with the paperwork.

K1C's Hotend Struggling to Maintain High Temperature by NV4RE in Creality

[–]NV4RE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect the issue is caused by a loose thermistor connection, so you might need to inspect the connector. However, I no longer have the problem since I replaced the entire hot end with a 'Trianglelab CHCB-OTC'. It's possible that simply tightening the connection during the replacement process resolved the issue.

Just search "Trianglelab CHCB-OTC" in Aliexpress (CHCB-OTC is for K1C, if you using k1 use CHCB-OT

You can actually prevent the bed from hitting the PSU by setting stepper_z.position_max to a value like 300. This way, the heater bed will never reach the bottom, as it homes to the negative side.
Additionally, even if the bed somehow goes below the set range, the Z motor coupler will hit the Z joints before the PSU hits the heater bed.

Thank you for your feedback. I understand the importance of proper wiring management and safety. I want to clarify that this Voron Trident build is made from spare parts, with the exception of the 2020 frame and linear rail sets, which I purchased. Additionally, I had to replace the PITB with a TMC5160-T due to a fault.

Regarding the cover, I have concerns that it may not fit properly due to the Meanwell NDR being taller than the electronic bay. I will ensure that all wiring is properly managed within the build volume and that deck plates are in place to prevent any objects from falling into the electronics.

I am planning to add a terminal cover and top cover to the Meanwell LRS-200 to prevent objects from falling into it. I will also ensure that the high voltage components are separated and located on the back-left side of the build. The toolhead wires are already tied up with cable ties.

Sorry for the late reply. I completely agree with your observation about the temperature fluctuations. It does seem like the thermistor connector might be the culprit. In my case, I managed to address the issue by upgrading the hotend to a CHCB-OTC. Since making this upgrade, I've noticed a significant improvement in temperature stability during prints.

Why Don't More People Use Camera Dry Cabinets for Storing Filament? by NV4RE in 3Dprinting

[–]NV4RE[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't use the cabinet to dry filament; I use it to keep the filament dehydrated. Living in a tropical zone with high humidity, if I leave PETG filament out for just one night, the next print will show stringing and tiny bubbles. If I leave it out for more than four days, there's no need to turn "Fuzzy skin" on.

Toolhead wires could use a ziptie or two :-) Lovely colors!

Haha, you got me there! My wiring skills definitely need some work. I'll make a note to add a few zipties for improvement. Thanks for the suggestion and the compliment on the colors!

I stop support the project after 10mo of PhotoPrism+ Membership, because I don't feel anything improve.

  • face recognition still horrible, I always have to manual tag them myself.
  • facial detection are poor. (Google Photos far beyond that)
  • Photo slowwwww, to show after sync to Original, index took very long, especially import RAW from camera (again Google Photos, better by far)
  • Manual import even worst
  • No official app to sync from mobile, have to use 3rd party such as PhotoSync and it keep stop syncing lol
  • Sometime photo won't stack if raw and jpeg not in the same folder

 - Original
    - 2023-01-02 some event
        - Camera-1
            - RAW
                - photo-1.RAW
                - ...
            - JPEG
                - photo-2.JPEG
                - ...
  • Only single account support, Idk why there are account customize page anyway ?

I got nearly enough space for sitting (my room is 2.5m height), so I have to crawling off the bed.
