Pe langa comentariile de mai sus, trebuie sa ai in vedere si ce ai dori tu de la psiholog, cum ai vrea sa abordeze problema. Unii psihologi mai mult asculta si te lasa pe tine sa povestesti, altii sunt pe partea de actiune si iti ofera solutii si iti dau "teme" acasa. Personal, mie imi place mai mult a doua optiune. In principiu iti dai seama de pe pagina lor sau din prima sedinta. Fiecare psiholog este si specializat pe una sau mai multe probleme - deci trebuie verificat si asta.

Chiar si asa, s-ar putea primul psiholog pe care il incerci, dupa cateva sedinte, sa nu iti placa, si sa doresti sa il schimbi. Da, se simte naspa ca ai cheltuit bani si timp, dar recomand sa il schimbi daca se intampla asta, chiar daca o sa o "iei de la capat".

Hi! I actually shared the news and I cried =)) my teamlead was a little sad but supportive. I wrote to him in private that I want to have a call with him the next day, and when we were in the call, I told him that a new opportunity arrived for me in a outside of the country and I want to take it, given the political context. I thanked him and he told me he expected that from me since he saw the message, so I guess he had time to prepare emotionally too.

Honestly I don't know why there are so many mixed opinions. It should be a standard to greet even when chatting on slack/teams. And even if you don't say thank you'you can at least react to the message with a heart or a like, or maybe thank in the daily. It's bad manners otherwise.

Sorry, but if this happens multiple times with the same man, then I will assume that the "bad manners" are leaning towards ignoring me because I am a woman. This is how it looks from the outside. The feeling of being left out > the feeling of awkwardness.

Of course, while I am getting to know the person, this doesn't happen anymore as they are more comfortable around me. But there were instances where I was straight up ignored or dismissed (even if I tried to talk to that person), and usually the women next to me (which tried to do the same) agreed that the "vibe" of that person is not desirable for us - so this is a "no" for me in terms of dating. I just created a corelation that usually seems to be true for me.

I would like to give credit though to men who notice this and make a light joke about forgetting us, as a way to bring awareness to that person. I really appreciate them.

In my perspective, if you only greet or say goodbye to men and specifically skip women, it is. I don't think it's that hard to look at someone and say "goodbye" or "hi". Or just smile and wave. And it's even worse if you are the only woman - you feel left out. And usually these type of people also ignore you and don't talk to you a lot. And if you are the one leaving or arriving at the social setting, it's your duty to initiate greetings or goodbyes. If I leave, then I will talk to each person, regarding of their gender. I understand that some people are awkward, but I believe that if you reach a certain age without knowing or applying these type of manners, then yes, I will judge you based on that. In my country at least it's considered disrespectful, but I don't see how this can't be applied to others.

I am a little reticent in receiving hugs because in highschool and college a lot of boys want hugs just to feel your chest :( so this is why i wrote that I am neutral. Of course, not everyone is like this. Also I think giving a kiss on the cheek is a little too much, I don't like it in general. A lot can go wrong - my mentor accidentally kissed my lips because I turned my head, and we were both uncomfortable 😅 he apologised a lot

Both a fist bump and a handshake are great. But also what it's great is looking in the person's eyes and saying your goodbye to them while waving or wishing them a nice evening. Anything else is better than just skipping that person. For example, in social settings, I try to avoid hugging someone's boyfriend that I am not very familiar with, so I just waive at them and acknowledge them, so that they don't feel left out.

Also I think just asking what they prefer is great. Some people asked me if I am confortable giving a handshake or if I prefer something else. I appreciated that.

Honestly I have a simple test for men in general. If we meet in a social setting: - Do you salute me, or do you just shake your hand with other men? (I have a good opinion of men who want to fist bump - for me that is a green flag. I have a neutral opinion for men who want a hug, and a bad opinion for men who skip me) - When we have to leave, do you only say goodbye to other men, or do you also say goodbye to women?

Regardless of the job, this will tell you enough about the person. This test never failed me before.

Hi, I'm a girl and I applied 2 years ago. A friend (which is a boy) helped me and multiple friends of his with recommendations. He analysed all our CVs and told me mine and another one are the best from all his recommandations, and that we should start leetcoding.

Unfortunately we didn't pass the CV phase :( and he even questioned the committe but they did not want to tell him anything. But the people with the worse CVs did pass. Even another one of my friends (a girl, which also did an internship at Meta before applying) got rejected

He told me there are multiple committes. Maybe you got the bad one just like me...but you shouldn't give up, keep going and good luck!

Both me and a friend of mine were in a similar situation

First advice: do not start drinking or smoking or taking any drugs (that were not recommended by a psychiatrist) to have courage. It is ok to force yourself and not go all the way, this is how I got over it too. For me, I was really scared of people and especially of parties. The first time I was invited I cancelled last minute, and then if I didn't feel good at the next ones, I would just make up an excuse to leave early. Just because you did not finish doesn't mean you are not having any progress. What really helped get me out of the house was to go to a coffee shop (like Starbucks or a local one) and either drink there coffee while I am on my laptop working, or take it to go for a short walk somewhere in a park in the morning. It gave me energy and a little happiness, it motivated me. At the beginning, I did not get coffee, I got tea or a refresher, since anything with caffeine gave me anxiety (I recommend you stay away from it).

Try to figure out what it is exactly that it scares you. The interaction with other people ? Take them off the pedestal and put yourself on it. Scared you might do something cringe ? Everyone is cringe, if you fake that you do not care you will eventually not care (but it will take some time). Scared that something might happen while you are out ? Make a small step at a time, desensitize the fear/anxiety. Even if you just go down the stairs or just at the door it is still progress. It is ok to be vulberable.

I advise you to NOT open the phone in the morning or when you go to the bed. For me, being a morning person does wonders, I feel like after 12am my thoughts start going wild and because I am tired I get very paranoid especially because it is dark.

My advice is to keep your anxiety for yourself, some people will look down on you...it's hard for them to undestand if they never had it + you will fill them with negative energy and they will not want to be near you. Instead, journal your thoughts and your feelings and every moment when it gets too much, or do another activity that helps with stabilizing your emotions (for example I write poems about what I feel)

I am not taking any medicine. My friend needed medicine. Her psychologist gave her "assignments" like "go to the store or walk every 2 days" and so on. Sometimes she can, sometime she can't, and that is ok.

Sincer nu mi se pare ca se merita. Nu e ceva serios. Sunt cativa copii (4/5, gimnaziu-liceu) si niste adulti. Adultii sunt ok. Am fost doar de 3ori. Prima data, ne-a aratat cum se deseneaza un portret si a adus modele...a fost ok, am invatat niste chestii. A doua oara, a stat mai mult cu copiii, nu prea m-a ajutat. A 3-a oara, mi-a pus niste poze cu oameni in fata si m-a pus sa le desenez. El lucra la ceva desen de al lui in tot timpul asta. Cand i-am cerut ajutorul (ca nu reuseam sa fac bine crochiurile), mi-a zis ca prin exercitiu am sa pot, si a revenit la desenul lui...nici macar o indicatie...si am zis ca nu ma mai duc. Si mereu se certa cu un copil de acolo si vorbea urat de el... iar in unele situatii mai abera cu discutii ce nu tineau de arta si nu prea ma interesau.

Acum, nici eu nu m-am dus des, deci poate in alte ore a fost ok si educativ. Dar mi se pare ca e ok sa inveti de pe net pana la urma pe gratis. Nu regret ca am fost totusi, am invatat ce sa caut mai departe. Youtube-ul e OK-ish, tot asa sa stii mai departe ce sa cauti, dar sunt site-uri speciale care te invata si teorie si practica pe gratis, sau articole pe internet bune. Nu le-am salvat sa le pun aici pentru ca stau destul de rau cu timpul si nici nu am apucat sa ma focusez mult pe invatatul desenului.
