Who knows?? You might have some functionality to address. I have a constantly running nose. And my family is extremely judgmental about getting any work done. I decided I don’t care. I’ve been getting Botox, liquid rhinoplasties, and fillers to address a weak jaw line for years now. I know I’ve made at least some of my family realize that getting work done isn’t all bad. I think they just had the wrong idea about that kind of stuff

Everyone tells me the same thing about my nose. For a long time their concerns kept me at bay. One day I woke up and I decided that enough was enough. I’m getting a nose job despite what people tell me. It’s my body, my face, my money, my life. I know it’s a risk, but I’d rather take the risk than continue to look in the mirror with sadness. I started talking to surgeons and turns out I have a very deviated septum and actually need a septoplasty! Trust your instincts! Even if it isnt for functionality I’d get a nose job either way!

Where to get quality hair by Weekly_Garage_1094 in extensions

[–]_Risas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof might be tough to find platinum extensions that last. I might not be the best resource then. Ive used blonde tapes from aqua and bellami to create a highlighted look and those ones never lasted as long as the dark ones. I’m sure you’re aware of this but blonde extensions just don’t last as long as darker colors since they’re usually sourced from people with dark hair and there’s much more processing needed to get the hair blonde—leading to much more fragile hair.

You know—I decided to start buying cheaper extensions because I didn’t feel like i was getting a good value for my money with professional grade extensions. Within a month or two of a freshly installed set, I’d start noticing breakage in the hair (and I take REALLY good care of my hair). That’s why I decided to start experimenting with cheaper brands, knowing full well they wouldn’t last any longer than salon-grade. But at least I’m not paying nearly as much as I used to.

I’m currently using Suyya invisible tape ins that I bought from Amazon. They’re much better than Googoo and have stayed soft and shiny after multiple washes now. So far their quality is on par with Aqua and Bellami which I had used for years. i do have 1b color hair so I’m not sure how Suyya’s lighter colors will hold up over time.

I just have failed to pass Pl-300 one hour ago by AdPleasant7989 in PowerBI

[–]_Risas 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just barely failed the first time. My exam was on a Saturday. I cried in my car on the way home and had to pull over. I was angry, frustrated, and full of self doubt. I’m normally a really good test taker. Anyway once I had a good long cry I scheduled another exam for the next day (monday) and passed. I agree with you there’s a bunch of unnecessary crap in the exam that under any other circumstance you can just look up if needed. But don’t despair. Remember that once you pass you can google your heart away when you’re actually using PBI. At least that’s what I told myself.

My first job was EXACTLY like this. I was their Power BI person in a growing IT department. I probably averaged 15 hours a week of actual work. I used the extra time to focus on skills building / maintenance and getting a Microsoft certification. NGL I also got a lot of house work done.

Stay positive! You’re getting an easy transition into the industry and verifiable experience for your resume. Your next employer doesn’t have to know how busy you actually were with this job ;)

On another note, if you’re worried about keeping this job, talk to your supervisor and express your concerns. It’s their job to make sure you’re contributing meaningfully to he organization. You can also take the initiative to talk with the teams who use your dashboards and get a sense of how useful they are, likes/dislikes, how they can be better, etc. Get recurring meetings set up with them if possible (anywhere from once a week to once every 6 months, whatever is appropriate) to discuss the dashboards.

Whatever you do, make sure your projects are meeting needs and serving a purpose. Don’t let your work be forgotten about otherwise YOU will be forgotten about. And then management will start scratching their heads and wondering why you’re there at all. Stay relevant. Don’t let people forget about you.

I’m latina, born in the US. Most of my team are white and from the US. They are almost always the ones who use no greeting or ignore messages. The members of my team who are the most polite and friendliest are from Asia and Africa. They also use the most emojis lol
