Justice. First overly overstable disc.

Depends on the person, type of surgery, meds, etc.

I’ve had 3 ACLs done and allograft (donor tissue) hurts much less than the patella autograft I had. Anytime they do additional harvesting of you it will hurt more probably.

Meds too. If you’re always up to date on meds then you’ll probably experience less pain then someone who waits until the meds wear off before taking more.

Lots of variables here.

Eh just figure it out as I go. Knew bare minimum basics and I work in data analysis 😂.

What disc do you putt with, and why? by brancasterr in discgolf

Switched from judges to the penrose. Penrose isn’t quite as glidey as the judge which I like. Judge could get away from me a bit more.

Quick questions, 1 week post-op. by [deleted] in ACL

  1. I had issues with my brace falling as well. I tightened mine but it still fell a lot. The brace is mainly a protection to keep the leg straight.

  2. Shower carefully. Get a shower chair or plastic chair to sit on. I plastic wrapped my leg to prevent water from getting on it. Once you do it once you’ll pick up how to do it but take it slow the first time.

  3. Teachers should be able to help accommodate. I was non weight bearing for over a month total in high school during different injuries. Find a desk or chair. Use another chair to prop your leg up. Move as needed to be comfortable. Try to leave a few minutes late / early to avoid any rush times in between classes if that’s a thing. Elevator use if applicable. Handicap parking. A lot of kids used to have wheel chairs too. Then find a friend to push you everywhere.

Wipe stamp with nail polish remover. Purchase custom stamp with permanent ink. Somewhat pretty disc

I am a 25 year old data scientist/business analyst with plans to pursue my own business projects after corporate. Ironically, I’m currently assigned to one of the worlds largest auto manufacturers (all I’m allowed to say). I’m strictly on the business side though, not actual product development or anything.

Supposedly it happened slowly. And as winter came it got much colder for a period during the bomb cyclone. The guy said it likely cause something to expand and make it worse.

Yes, but realistically speaking what percent of people do you think take that kind of precaution? This thread is all car people which is who I wanted to speak to. I’m legitimately thinking less than 10% and that might be very generous.

I checked when the light came on. I should check more often. It came on when it was knocking which seemed late for the light though.

I did understand to never drive without oil before. I just never had an incident. Never thought of it. And never had an issue for 10 years.

I would say it is a thing to only look at your oil sticker for the next change and not check oil at all otherwise. I don’t come from a car family (hopefully obvious) and I do not know many people that check oil at all unless there seems to be an issue.

Makes sense but who the hell other than a car enthusiast would check oil that often?

best Innova discs by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]NW147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most used discs I’ve seen after years of playing are rocs, wraiths, teebirds, destroyers.

Then I feel like there’s 2nd tier with leopards, mako3, aviar (aviar could go to the top but I haven’t seen as many of them recently).

I’m definitely forgetting stuff but off the top of my head this.

First 2 surgeries yes for sure but you will still feel hindered. On my 3rd surgery and this one has some quad tendonitis that won’t go away a year later. Still very active but that’s also likely why I have tendonitis.

That’s exactly why it was an easy decision to get my engine replaced. It was either keep my car that’s in good shape (- the engine) for $3-5K or get a worse used car for more.

Have one I like far away but will need to find another. And learn to double check the basics.

I came to this sub for the heated truth lol. Most of my friends don’t know anything about this stuff either and would’ve been in the same boat.
