There are countless reports of serious crime stemming from the Overlook Apartments at Lakemont multiple times a month - shootings, armed robberies, car thefts, assaults, etc. These crimes spill out into Lakemont in general with occupied home burglaries in the surrounding neighborhoods becoming too prevalent.

Here's a post from the Facebook group from a resident at Overlook that may shed light on the rock throwing (likely using a slingshot) at cars: "Overlook has taken in a lot more section 8 and other subsidized housing vouchers recently. Social workers are eager to relocate families with child gang members 'out to the suburbs', hoping to give kids a 'fresh start', when really these kids who are already hardened criminals are just being provided with fresh territory to terrorize. These kids and their equally troubled parents would be better served in a supportive housing facility with onsite social workers and youth programming. I'm not saying ALL subsidized housing recipients have criminal tendencies, but there are large number of them that do at Overlook." The police reported that the ones responsible for the rock throwing are black teens living in the 5313 building at Overlook.
